Ima watch his fight with Calzaghe again. And see if I can see the hype. He's quick, he aint as slow as I thought he was, but definitely not the polished fluid combination throwing guy they tried to paint him ass.
And a quick mental note to the Calcrappy fans. You cant use Johnson as a barometer on what Calzaghe would do..lol. You cant use a figther Calzaghe ducked three times on wax for "hand injuries" but goes on and fights Manfredo. You cant do that. If Calzaghe beat Johnson than you can use that. This rule applies to all match ups. Johnson and Tarver put a less shot version of Roy to ****ing sleep. Calzaghe scratched his eye and did some ug mug showboating b/c he COULD NOT put Roy away for lack of firepower.
Kessler telegraphs his shots big time, I think that is the reason that he has such a hard time with Calzaghe..If you watch his fights you can almost tell which shot he is going to throw..When he throws his left hook he actaully drops his hand below his hips and dips to the left, and then comes the left hook, he cocks his right hand and falls in afterward.
noone paints him as a fluid combination puncher. He's mainly a 1-2 puncher who sticks behind a powerful jab and an accurate right hand. He can throw other punches pretty well though... his last KO came off a left uppercut and he hit Joe C with a well timed counter right uppercut. But at the base he's still a 1-2 fighter.
No, he wasn't a blown up anything. He was 22-0 (14 KOs) going into the Kessler fight. He won two more fights since then. Kessler is his only loss. His only fight outside of super-middle weight was at light heavyweight, and he Kod the guy in two. That said, I believe that Kessler is not what he was before Calzaghe beat him. Not as ****ed-up as Lacy, but missing something from the night he handed a 120-108 shutout to Andrade. I called the potential match-up between Dawson and Calzaghe a 50-50 fight. As Kessler is not quite at Calzaghe's level, I would have to favour Bad Chad here by UD. If he gets hurt like he did against Johnson, Kessler is a much better finisher than Glencoffe, and Dawson will not recover. But if both men are at their best and no ****-ups happen, I see Dawson takin this 7-5 or 8-4.
http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=213976&cat=boxer yeah clearly, he was a beast before Kessler got to him. :rofl
Oh really? That aint what you said homeboy. "those 4-5 punch combos, only 1 or 2 were landing. Kessler can throw a 5 punch combo in the blink of an eye too. Kessler's handspeed is underrated. Check out his KO of Haussler (a nobody i know but still a sick combination). And the reason I said power is a tossup is cause Chad is a LHW while Kessler is a SMW" Does that look or sound familiar he is a 1,2 puncher that can throw 5 punch combos at the blink of an eye.
Ohhhhh ****. :rofl Yeah he beat some 7-11 fighters after Kessler. Funny how **** ALWAYS blows up in mother****ers faces when facing the truth.
Quick mental question to TooPretty. Tarver and Johnson both wanted badly to defeat Roy in spectacular fashion. Do you think Joe WANTED to put Roy away ?
Are they bad because they happen to fight in another country? Remember how much punishment these US tv fighters have gotten in recent years when they step in the ring with some of these eastern european fighters? I think you should reconsider whether his nationality and the nationality of his opponents and the fact that you don't know them because they are not on US TV - whether that is really the main thing when assessing a fighter.
No :rofl. Just man up and admit that you were talking out of your ass. Its one or the other. He cant do it and he damn for sure dont do it. And Dawson does it all the time in fights, not in theory.
