    METROPOLIS (January 24, 2008) -- Roy Jones, Jr., fresh off his 12-round unanimous decision over Felix Trinidad (who hasn't won a fight since 2004) has made it known that he is looking for even smaller challenges (and challengers too!) Trinidad, who has never weighed over 160 pounds in his professional career weighed nearly 170 pounds when he faced Jones. Yesterday, Jones, in a release issued by his promoter, stated he is "...ready to take on all comers in the light heavyweight or super middleweight divisions and beyond."

    "Let's see, he named middleweights Kelly Pavlik and Jermain Taylor, super middleweight Joe Calzaghe, light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins, who has been asking for a rematch for over 10 years, and junior middleweight Oscar De La Hoya. Funny how big old 'Superman' doesn't want to pick on someone his OWN size, like the reigning WBC light heavyweight champion ... ME," said undefeated world champion CHAD DAWSON , who celebrates the one-year anniversary of his WBC light heavyweight title reign on February 3. "Great Caesars Ghost! Could it be that I'm the Kryptonite 'Superman' Jones fears more than anything else in this universe? Heck, as long as he's pretending to be Superman, doesn't he even want to pretend to want to fight me for his old belt back?"

    Dawson's promoter, Gary Shaw added: "Chad doesn't have to send out misleading statements that he's faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive or can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Chad is just stating fact. Until Roy steps up to fight for the world light heavyweight title, the only thing he has in common with Superman is being a cartoon."

    Let see what happens after the Johnson fight ..Its easy to talk smack when your paper chasing and thats clearly whats going on ..

    Yes. Lacy had no skills though, unlike Dawson.

    I'd be surprise to see him KO him but UD isn't that impossible considering how the Road Warrior fights and his age ..But if he loses man that will be an upset ..But yet somehow I see Mayweather Sr/ Laughing somewhere if it happens ..

    I wonder how not having MW SR . in his corner will affect him in the long run ..Either way the fight with Johnson will be his first true test ..

    I'm happy to hear Dawson getting himself into the mix, even if he's just BSng about fighting Jones. I would hate for that fight to happen, but I doubt it will.

    Also, he has been tested -- by Adamek. Adamek is a strong warrior with a punch and a chin, and for a guy with a glass jaw like Chad supposedly has (I disagree with that), he was a huge test.

    Diaconu has power and Johnson has workrate, but the only guy I can see beating Dawson via decision is Calzaghe, and I doubt even he would do it.

    And I think Muhammed is a better trainer than Mayweather, who never has impressed me.

    i cant wait for him to truly get exposed

    dawson needs a true fight

    he is still a baby in boxing and doesnt deserve the likes of roy jones
