Obviously you dont know anything about boxing and you shouldnt even be posting on this forum. Pretty much EVERYONE that Dawson has fought is better then the 170lb version of Trinidad. Don't get me wrong.. Roy jones Jr did look impressive, Impressive for his AGE.

We are not talknig about a prime RJJ anymore. This version of RJJ would probably get KO'd by Dawson.

I am a huge Jones fan, but the PfP version of RJJ left the building in 2003, and he ain't coming back. All Roy can succeed in doing at this point is setting up a nice payday against other aged, named guys. Dawson would stop today's Jones sometime between rounds 7-10.

As for Adamek, he is a very tough and intelligent fighter who spells big trouble for all but those with elite speed and movement. Dawson was an awful style matchup for him, and even then Adamek fought bravely -- getting the late KD -- rather than packing it in once he knew he was hopelessly behind on the cards.

Dawson has too much speed, youth, power, basically everything except experience and chin over Johnson. People like to talk about Dawson's chin being a liability, well Johnson won't be able to test his chin because he's not a hard hitter himself. I think it took 120 punches (or around that) and 8 rounds just to knock out Hugo Pineda. I guarantee you Johnson won't land 100 punches on Dawson because he's no Hugo Pineda. That right jab, right hook, and straight left by Dawson will land on Johnson consistently, while he ducks and slips most of his punches. It will be either a shutout or TKO, Dawson will outclass Johnson come April 12.

Dawson by wide UD if they fought. RJJ is simply too inactive while Dawson is. Dawson might even get a KO the way he comes forward and commits so much.

Agreed but Jones don't need to fight him he's on his way out Dawson needs to prove himself a bit more before he starts asking for big pay days ..

You have said so many ******ed things throughout this thread.
Jones will be too quick? Jones fights now as if his legs are stuck in cement, his hands are still quick but that doesn't count for anything if he can't move in and out of range.

Do you know who else has quick hands? And HE CAN move in and out of range utilising brilliant footwork? I'll give you a clue, he's a 6'3 southpaw entering his prime his name starts with C and ends with had Dawson. Do you know who i'm talking about?

What happened the last time Roy fought a southpaw who wasn't a postman? Tarver would've given Roy major problems even in roys prime, as brilliant as Roy was, Rangy southpaws with solid boxing skills and quick hands give everyone problems, even Jones. Dawson is faster and more rangy than Tarver ever was with better footwork so realistically what's going to happen if he fights and old, finished Roy Jones?

What impresses me about Dawson is that he engages more than he has too. So he's willing to put himself in harms way to get in his shots. That can't be said for guys like PBF, RJJ, B-Hop, Spink, etc. Dawson has all the skills at LHW to just pot shot his way to a UD but he chooses to engage a lot. And i like that.

Yeah but the style of fighting doesn't always extend ones career .
