Agreed. This mini-tournament would generate a lot of interest and the winner match would become bigger than it would without it.

I completely agree. Dawson is so much better than Pascal, he handed that fight away.

 

I believe the fight could have continued but then again I'm old fashioned.

Something to consider, Dawson was having a hell of a time trying to get Pascal out of there in that 11th round. I tend to think he would have gone into those final minutes slightly arm weary, and now with a bad cut over his eye. I don't believe Dawson was odds on to finish that fight by any stretch of the imagination. I think in all likelihood they have a back and forth 12 round with Dawson trying to get a stoppage, and Pascal competing as he typically does. We saw his will and determination in the Froch fight.

I also don't think the fight should have been stopped, but I think Pascal wins the rest of it. Dawson was tired as hell after that early flurry. Pascal looked tired as hell too but you know what, he looked like that the whole fight and was still landing bombs on Dawson consistantly.

I don't think so, but maybe Dawson wins the last two rounds. However there's no way he's getting Pascal out of there. I don't even think he could have knocked him down, and he was a long long way from a knockout.

Even with a knockdown, he would have lost the fight.

 

I'm of the opinion that Marco Antonio Barrera was a much better fighter than Enrique Sanchez. I came to this conclusion after witnessing Marco put on a horribly, one-sided beatdown on Sanchez.

What's your basis for thinking Dawson is "so much better" than Pascal? :huh

 

Anybody knows that Dawson is a ko artist and a super finisher.

I think he will win the rematch too.....but I'm not as confident as I was going into the fight with Jean this past weekend.....for obvious reasons.

 

I can't see Dawson being so passive in the rematch.
