Iv been watching some of his fights in anticipation of his fight against Pascal and really like his style. thinking of possible future fights for him and if he doesnt go back to 168 to fight bute or the winner of the super 6 there is nobody there for him worth staying at 175 for. Gary Shaw previously stated that he thinks Dawson could go up to heavy

ive seen him listed at 6'3 and 6'1 but seeing him in against adamek i dont really think tomas had a bigger frame than him

where do you guys see him going and is it possible for him (if 6'3) to make his mark at heavy if he goes up in a similar fashion to micheal moorer (former light heavy champ, around 6'2/6'3 and a southpaw)

he should stay at 175 or fight bute at a catchweight of 171.5 if bute has the balls

If Cloud will take the fight(he won't) i'd say he fights him. Shumenov and Braehmer will sit on their paper belts as long as they can, Dawson would take their straps easily. If he can still make 68 I'd say he should go there and fight Bute or the S6 winner depending on who will take it, but I doubt anyone will rise to the challenge.

shut the **** up headbanger, you smelly fish and chips ****

Dawson-Pascal is one of the top fights in boxing right now (one of the top being made anyway..) and I'm very much looking forward to it. I think Dawson should win but I do like the improvement that Pascal's made recently and it will probably be a pretty close fight with only 3 or 4 rounds in it in my view.

Anyway, if Chad does get through then there's a few options for him really:

    1) Unlikely it may be but the best fight out there for Dawson is against Hopkins. Unfortunately Bernard doesn't want it which is a shame for boxing.

    2) If Tavoris Cloud beats Glen Johnson comfortably and looks good, we have a logical next fight for Dawson.

    3) A fight between Lucian Bute and Dawson would be great and fingers crossed could happen as it'd be good for both of them really.

    4) The super 6 will have be 2 guys lighter by the end of 2010 and these may be potential options for Dawson.

Can't see him doing anything at HW, at least not for a while. Maybe in 3 or 4 years time when the Klitschko's are gone along with David Haye, there may not be a dominant heavyweight championa nd maybe Chad can do something in what will probably be an even poorer division than it is currently.

Nothing against Dawson, but has everyone forgotten that he was put down 3 times in his first 23 fights and was looking out on his feet in his first fight with G Johnson, whos lost how many?
People are so quick to jump the gun, the same sort of praise got put on Lacy, Taylor, Pavlik, Dirrell and the signs are there with Dawson if you read above as they are with Ward being put down and badly hurt by journeymen.
Dawson also has a NC on his record for failing a drugs test (not peds).

Dawson/Pascal is a great fight and a real achievement for Chad: five consecutive bouts against a top-five opponent in his own division.

I'd like to see him fight Cloud, and if they both win — especially if Dawson struggles against Pascal, showing vulnerability — my guess is Cloud's people finally will be ready to step up. Although, he is with Don King.

Would love to see Dawson/Bute, but to me it's more likely that Dirrell will get Bute in the event he loses to Ward this fall. That fight makes a lot of sense.

Dawson will never amount to anything at HW, IMO. He's too small.

He was probably just getting high. Anyway, so he got put down? This is boxing. People get hit in the face hard in this sport. Not everyone has an iron chin. Put down your ****ing detective spectacles and stop grabbing at straws. Ward was never badly hurt by anyone.

You clearly have something against Dawson. You have something against any American fighter at 160 or above, like your compatriots.

He hasn't been down since Adamek. There's no "jumping the gun" with the No. 1 guy in the division. Even if he never wins another fight, he already possesses five wins against top-five opponents, including over a prime, undefeated Tomasz Adamek.

I wish his conditioning were a little better and don't necessarily view him as a future No. 1 pfp guy, but obviously he's a legitimate world class fighter and, if he gets by Pascal, should be considered the true champion at 175.

Chad Dawson next to PBF is arguably the most talented boxer in the sport.:deal He does all things well. Has a good job, is accurate, goes to the body, throws every punch in the book, throws beautiful combos, has great hand speed, has good defense, can counter, has good movement. A blind man can see how skilled he is. he just fights in a division that doesn't have much talent. If he was at 168 no one there could touch him including Ward.

Dawson doesn't need to go HW to be recognizes as a ATG. I will prefer to see him take on the best SMW and LHW!

Dawson have all the skills in the world but doesn't have the powers to intimidate an HW and since he doesn't have any problem to make the LHW limits he should stay there and finish taking on the division! Dawson at HW look like a lot of trouble for him and even if he win it will be very, very, very boring!

You see. I point out true facts and you get aggressive. Whats clutching at straws to say Dawson had been put down 3 times in 23 fights and nearly got KOd by a fighter around 14 years older with many losses.
Thats facts not exactly detective work.
I like alot of American fighters over 160lbs. Ive just hit a sore point with you

I don't really think much of Dawson at HW, but it would be interesting to see if he could fill out correctly. I think part of the reason he's relatively featherfisted is because he doesn't have much muscle on his frame period.

You know, getting KD'D a couple of times and getting dazed by a pretty good veteran in Johnson doesn't mean he has a glass chin(which is what you're implying). You don't like any american fighters period. I don't have any sore points. I just recognize your agenda for what it is, and I don't really tolerate it.

He wasn't nearly KOed.:deal He was fighting back and wasn't really holding, was he hurt yes? but nearly Koed is what Andrade did to Bute when he was on ***** street. Dawson was never in that bad of shape against Johnson.

He has a ton of options, the question is "does he have one that makes money?" He's not PPV material and each of the castoffs from the Super Six will come in with a recent loss or two. Is Bute vs. Dawson a Las Vegas/Atlantic City megafight or just another HBO Saturday night?
