Chad Duckin' Dawson: "I am going to show everyone that I can take a punch!"

Yeah he was very decent at his best, but getting beaten to a pulp by Clinton Woods could be indicative of having seen your better days. That was his recent form at this level, there is no getting away from it, and he fought twice against nobodies inbetween that and Diaconu.

 

Just cuz he lost once doesn't mean he was shot,maybe starting just,the 2 wins were stay busy fights cuz he was ranked high and thought could get a title shot but ended up with Diaconu in the eliminator

 

Well, it ain't looking good for him is it? He got beaten up badly by Woods inside 5, tried to rebuild, and then got beat in 3 by Diaconu who was little more than a prospect prior to that. He hasn't fought since.

Given what he's done in the past against decent opposition I think it would be sensible to conclude he's been past it for a while. It would be pretty harsh on Hoye to consider those as at somewhere near his best.

I would love to see Diaconu against Cloud. I think the American is the better prospect in this division to be honest.

 

True but don't take the credit away from the win,it was a great KO.Anyway Diaconu vs Cloud would be good but Cloud still has to prove and Diaconu ain't no prospect anymore

Hey Debecal, haven't seen you in a while. Dawson is having a great training camp and already weighs 178lbs. According to Dawson, Tarver is weighing in over 200lbs since last week. Come October 11 we'll see Dawson back to his old form, I don't what shape Tarver is going to be in, since he's not even close to making 175.

 

Thinking back Dawson should of fought Diaconu back in Janurary instead of fighting Glen Johnson. Also Dawson is the CEO of his record label Champion Breed Entertaiment.

Dawson is becoming an edgier, meaner kid with the way that the public has turned on him. He's been all attitude and spite every time I've seen him since the Johnson fight. That's probably a good thing for his sake.
