"He's a lot better than I thought he was. To beat a guy is one thing, to beat a guy at his own game is a whole other. He's the best fighter I've ever fought. He was a little bit stronger, and it's tough the last thing I want to do is disparage Anderson 'The Spider' Silva, but it's tough for me. I whipped him for 30 minutes he whipped me for less than 30 seconds. I whipped Jon for zero seconds and he whipped me for the entire fight. It's tough -- if you're asking for my opinion, Jon's better."

Of course he's gonna knock Anderson at every opportunity, but good to see him giving Jon credit for beating him at his own game

I think is honest when he says that he believes Jones would beat Silva which is no surprise after what Jones did to him

Yeah i think he is too. He really thought he had Silvas number after that first fight. In reality all he had was beating up a guy with a cracked rib.

Well, he did exactly the same thing in the first round of the rematch too. Only for one round, which obviously means nothing if you get KOed in the second. But still, who else has won a single round so definitively against Anderson? :conf

Have to go back five years, to a top-5 p4p ATG. And even then, Henderson didn't win the first round as definitively as Chael did. :good

Not that it really matters anyway, because both of them ended up losing the fight early and decisively. :conf

Well, not really. Chael clearly won round 1 in the rematch more decisively than Hendo did in his fight. :good

What you said was "Yeah someone else has won a round against Anderson." But I asked "who else has won a single round so dominantly against Anderson?" and the answer to that - so far as I'm aware of - is nobody. :yep

(Well, except for Anderson's early career, maybe. Certainly nobody in his UFC tenure.)

But someone needs to tell Chael there's a reason why there are weight classes. Jon is obviously bigger than Chael (and Silva) therefore it's not entirely shocking to see Sonnen get thrown around. Silva has fought and beaten guys at 205 but the guys he beat were not near the top of the weight class at the time. Kinda similar to what Manny Pacquiao did - beat bigger but far less skilled or faded guys in a higher division. You do receive credit for beating a bigger guy; it's just very minimal credit seeing as he's not considered an elite. That said, I still want Silva vs. Jones mainly because I want to see Anderson end up making an even more convincing, almost inarguable case for him being the greatest of all time. If AS loses he's still a top 3 ATG. No big deal.

Dunno, Chael has lost so many fights, sure he remembers what the Anderson loss was like? He's a **** for brains too, so probably not good long term memory.

**** for brains, talks a lot of ****, and spews a lot of bull****. - Chael Sonnen.

At least we found a new brand for white people. Them bitches is still talking about Sonnen.

Forrest just lost the belt in his fight to Evans just before he fought Silva.
So Forrest was ranked pretty good at the time
