Actually it's called being a professional and trying to go on with the show. Three weeks is a long time to sit out to give an injury a chance to heal. Henderson didn't plan to back out - he was willing to go into the fight injured.

 

Agreed. I don't see why guys are ragging on him for it. The old PRIDE way was take your shot of Vicodin and get out there and fight. Henderson is old skool. He's fought with injurys before. Its part of the sport.

If you know that you are expected to lose, and will make a lot of money, accepting a fight on short notice isn't really that noble to me. It's easy to take a loss when you have a built in excuse. He knows that losing against Jones isn't going to negatively effect his career too much, and he knows that he could have brought in a bunch of money he otherwise wouldn't have. He's smart, not a 'warrior'. He has pretty much admitted to having a quitters mentality in fights. He is all talk.
