    :lol::lol::lol: Just read this on MMA weekly and nearly fell out of my chair! 20 years in the Pen!! :lol: Sonnen is the man. Remember all those stupid adverts he was doing? Bet he wished he didnt now.

    Prior to his upcoming sentencing, the government is recommending 2 years probation and a 500k fine (he could face up to 20 years in the big house apparently). Wondering if he actually has that kind of dough through his UFC fights/sponsorships

    I doubt it. Otherwise he wouldnt be laundering money. Then again he is a tool.

    The offence in question was committed in June 2006. At that stage his UFC record was 1-2. He lost to Horn in May '06 and then spent the next year (or thereabouts) fighting for Bodog. So, it's not like he was a significant UFC fixture at that stage.
