Chael Sonnen says Lance Armstrong gave himself cancer

The issue with Phelps was that he was portraying himself as super wholesome captain america, eat your vitamins, etc etc etc.

Sonnen is pointing out the hypocrisy of doing that then smoking pot. I happen to disagree with him, because there is nothing wrong with smoking pot, but his general point makes sense.

He is pointing out that Silva represents himself as the ultimate gentleman, but it has been shown that he is not always so gentlemanly.

With Phelps I blame it more on the stupid marketing machine that makes athletes out to be heroes, combined with the ignorant American public thinking that athletes should never have fun, and the general ignorance on pot in general.

With Silva, he has a point; Silva clearly is a nice guy, when it suits him. He is also clearly a bit of a ***** when he wants to be.

I don't have a problem with him not being Mr. Perfect, but him portraying himself as that is annoying.


The Lance Armstrong thing was bat**** insane.

The only thing I can think of is that he is making a bigger point that a large percentage of athletes are on performance enhancing drugs. Still though, Lance Armstrong did not give himself cancer.

 

Before these comments I was hoping for Sonnen to win, but now I hope Anderson caves his face in.

Sonnen's trash talk is whiny childish banter on par with Floyd Mayweather's whiny childish banter. I have yet to hear him say something witty and this act has definitely gone dry. I hope his whiny nasally voice gets knocked the **** out. Then I hope Anderson trips on his way out of the ring and knocks himself the **** out.


EDIT: Apparently he DIDN'T make the comments about Lance Armstrong, but it sure as hell sounded like Chael Sonnen. **** it, who cares at this point? I'm hoping for a double knockout.

Well he could be right of course as the testicular cancer Lance had is typical for steroid use ...

 

yeah true everyone was on them but lance was on the best stuff with the help of the infamous doctor michelle ferrari, lance was doped up the eye balls and ferrari was the best doping doctor out there which can be seen by the amount of money he charged his clients, armstrong has been proven to have used EPO in the 99 tour and along with cortisone, HGH and steroids, not to mention all the other **** we dont know about, hopefully chael is taking some too otherwise anderson is gonna **** him up

 

Didn't Armstrong have cancer before his Tour de France success? I thought that was why it was such a big deal.

Armstrong is accused of doping for the Tour de France. If this doping occurred after his cancer incident, how did it cause it? I'm just trying to make sense of the allegations Sonnen allegedly made, if that makes sense.

Well first ans foremost his accusation is stupid and makes little sense.

But you don't just show up at the Tour de France, you have to be world class already. He was a world class cyclist before winning the tour, so he would have possibly been using before the tour.

 

No, I think Lance was on the same stuff as all all-rounder cylists at the time, Ferrari is the dr. that the whole USPS team had, him Landid, Hamilton, were all in teh same boat. Heck even sprinters like David Millar was on drugs. And Millar was one of the greatest sprinters Britain has ever seen before he was on drugs. Same goes for Armstrong, he is a phenomenal athlete, his work ethic is second to none and tactically on wheels, no one was better. He would have won it clean (if everyone was), and with drugs, made no difference.

He also had a big heart (literally) and an incredibly high cadence in grueling climbs. Heres a video of Armstrong toying with the field at Mt. Ventoux and caught the greatest climber of all time in Marco Pantani like nothing. He blew away the field which included Ulrich, Botero and co.. He was so supreme at the time that he gave the win away to Pantani and told everyone he did. At :40 Phil Legget whos seen 40 years of the tour made a comment lol

I have always suspected that Armstrong triggered his own cancer through PED abuse. It will be interesting to see what condition many current pro boxers are in 20 years from now, when they are middle aged. This current generation of boxing pros is the first to use PED widely.

 

Sadly the brain damage will likely get them first.

 

i know the correlation between ped's and testicular cancer is unclear but my question is, why is the first question submitted by a doctor to a patient with testicular cancer "have you ever used ped's or been prescribed steroids for medical purposes in the past"

its obviously a lot higher than we all think, sonnen was speaking the truth and why he is now denying is a bit mad, id say he got a solicitors phone call lance tends to sue everyone and win the majority of the time
