I know we should not jump the gun but.... it looks like we can rule out the possibility of Haye/Klit bout, (but yet to hear from Vitali) i have read various articles on the net and it is assumed that Haye will be fighting Chagaev.... What are everyones thoughts on this?? and how would the fight pan out? I just see it as an easy win for Haye... would it even generate alot of money?? would it be worth actually going to the fight?? We can only hope that Klitschko comes to his senses and changes his mind, coz tbh i cant see them making the fight for July 2nd. G
to be fair Chagaev deserves his # 1 place even though he has been rank rotten in his last 2 fights that I watched live. Haye will stop him in around 10 rounds if it happens. Booth seems to think this will take place in the UK - I'm willing to wager he will fail the medical. We have 10 months until Haye retires and he has stated that if the fight isn't signed this year then it will never happen. The other thing is as well, will SBO show Chagaev? Doubtful! I haven't paid for Haye's last two fights and won't pay for that one either.
To be honest, as soon as I hear any sort of rumour or news article tying Chagaev to Haye I am not following his career any further. Not that Chagaev is a bum, but i'm just sick of all the bull****. Fight a Klitschko, or I don't care. I don't care who's problem it is or who's the one ducking, sign the ****ing fight. There is nothing else out there worth even a comment on anymore.
If Haye fought and beat Chagaev it would be good solid name on his record but i remember him looking unimpressive against Skelton and being completely dominated by Wlad.I would rather see Haye fight Adamek but anyone is a big come down from a fight with Wlad. I don`t think think it would generate much money and it is doubtful that it would happen in the UK because of his hep b and Haye would not want to go to Germany to fight him
Chagaev's only use is it may help Haye keep his alphabet crap, which is a tool to use in discussions with the Klitschkos, who seem obsessed with the stuff. Horrible match for Haye, it is potentially tough, and even if he wins (which he probably would, but is no certainty), I reckon Chagaev will stink out the joint. If the Klitschko fights are not going to happen, I see only two fights that SKY could put on PPV. Holyfield.... Or what about David Tua? Style wise it is an excellent fight. Tua has a name known in the country, and is in theory a threat with that left hook, although I think anyone in the know, knows Tua has seen better days. Being the first man to stop the Samoan as a pro, would be a little feather in the cap, and the fight should generate decentish money for all parties.
Horrible match up as Chagaev's ability seems well on the decline. I can honestly say, if Haye lays on his normal HW undercard, it doesnt matter how much Sky hype this, I will 100 % not buy it. If not a Klit, I think the only other two names i'd pay to watch him fight are Adamek and Arreola.
