The poster of thread is ignorant of Chagaev. He beat Felix Savon two times as an amateur,is southpaw, has rock chin, good stamina, lots of skills and would knock Haye out. Haye has proven nothing as a heavyweight period.

However, Vitali was and still is interested in fight Haye ASAP, if the WBC does not force him to fight Maskaev, and even if that were to happen, I believe he will still fight Haye if at all possible. Vlad can't wait all year for Haye, he has to fight his mandatory Povetkin. Chagaev brings WBA belt/Ring Belt, Haye brings nothing. Vlad took the Haye fight, he did not have to do such, Haye was in no way a mandatory. Chagaev is a much tougher fight for Vlad. Haye was an easy knockout.

 

bull****, haye stylisitcally will fare better against wlad, he is quick, explosive, and a good-counter puncher.....chagaev is just another slow guy that wlad will beat up on, THATS the easier fight

We haven't seen Chagaev until he beat Skelton, and his only fight before that was against Valuev! He's been out of action for an age....

I think his southpaw stance and good countering ability may cause Wlad some issues, but this will be one sided and boring, just like Klit - Ibragimov.

 

Very good speed, that left of his gave valuve no time to think, slow, ha ha ha, no he not slow, valuve is slow, this guy has a quick left, which wlad will eat many times in the fight, but wlad has to good of boxing skills, an ring general ship to be beat, but this will be his best victory to date (as long as the chagaev that fought valuev shows up)
