Chagaev is a real sleeper

I used to post on how good Chagaev was when he was coming up. Lets analyze some of Chagaev's strengths and I think people will see that he has the skill set to not only beat Wlad, but to knock him out.

Chagaev is a southpaw and has very very solid power in his straight left. Other than Corrie sanders he is likely the hardest southpaw puncher at heavyweight in the last..well he is right there, but slightly behind Michael Moorer and Sanders. We know what happened the last time Wlad faced a very heavy handed southpaw.

Chagaev was preparing to fight valuev. This is a big advantage for him coming into the fight. No one is taller than Valuev and valuev works with his only weapon the jab, much like wlad relies on the jab, wlad has more arsenal than valuev obviously.

Chagaev has already beaten valuev and overcome the height issues, therefore he has experience working in the ring with a guy wlads size.

Chagaev is a good inside fighter and this is the difference between him and Haye. Chagaev can handle thwe inside fighting very well and can adjust to workign the body. haye relies on the outside and fast counters. haye would likely get picked apart when Chagaev can get inside and make this figth ugly.

Chagaev has a very solid chin. he can take wlads shots. He can take wlad deep if necessary and still be competitive.

Lastly, Wlad is still wlad, he is susceptible to a hard shot and will go down. Chagaev is the best chance of anyone in the division(besides vitali) to actually beat wlad. There is no way Haye would make the final bell versus Chagaev and this will eb wlads biggest test to date. I see a chance here for Chagaev and it is real.

Great post!:good I agree chagaev is very underrated And I really think this is Wlads biggest test! But also we will see how much has wlad improved since sanders!

I give Chagaev 35% chance!

You seem to have put some effort in your analysis, but you got it all wrong.

Chagaev - the hardest hitting soutpaw since Sanders? You got to be kidding, he was considered a puncher in the early stages of his career, but when he finally stepped up in competition his KO ratio went down dramatically. He has one KO in his last six fights.

How do we know Chagaev's is that great? It's pretty much untested, he has never tasted anything Wlad-like.

Haye and Arreola have the best chance against Wlad because they at least have the potential to pull of a Sanders on Wlad - Chagaev doesn't have the ability/style to do that.
