I still haven't seen tape of Ruslan, but if he's as good as I've heard, shouldn't he beat Valuev? There's only one thing about Valuev that isn't completely ordinary. That would be his 90 pound (6 stone 6?) melon.
Have you seen tape of Valuev then? I don't know, may be I am getting old, but this kind of posts bother me. I've never heard Beatles but my neighbour says they're great! Probably much better than Rolling Stones who are probably all stoned and rolling all the time...
Honestly, this is exactly what I deserve for expressing any interest whatsoever in the heavyweight division.
I'm not overly impressed. He's fundamentally good and all, but "White Tyson" is maybe the most misleading nickname of any active HW right now. I suggest you find the first Valuev/Chagaev fight on YouTube or wherever and see what you think. I personally thought Valuev won it 7 rounds to 5. Valuev controlled the action and Chagaev countered well with his left hand the whole fight, but wasn't very active. I expect Valuev to be more determined the second go around.
Thanks, really, that's all I was asking for. I like this about ESB though, one lazy post is all it takes.
I think Chagaev won clearly against Valuev first time around. He boxed cleverly, moving inside and unloading some nice combos. Valuev didnt hurt Ruslan once, but he did look very tame until the later rounds. If Valuev uses his jab as well as he did in his last fight, and fights with some aggression, I can see him taking the rematch.
Valuev's jab and boxing skills were fantastic in the Liachkovich fight. I think this is partly due to the fact Valuev switched his maniac trainer. Chagaev was kinda poor in the Skelton fight. Picking Valuev would be a safe bet.
I wouldnt go as far as saying that his skills were fantastic, but certainly he had great timing off his jab, landing time and time again.
I,too, think that Chagaev won more or less quite clearly against Valuev in their first encounter.Chagaev showed a flawless performance employing the right tactic to take advantage of his huge opponent's weak spots.Chagaev hadnt been known to be a cautious counterpuncher before he faced Valuev.Chagaev had won most of his fights by going for his foes and trying to land one of telling punches in order to stop them.He had been quite successful with that tactic. He showed a brilliantly tactical performance against Valuev.Nevertheless,Valuev knows now which way the cat jumps.Could really go either way this time!
Yea Ill accept that. I think Valuev wil win this time around, now that he has a better trainer and all. Plus lets all hope Valuev to win, I wanna see him with Wlad :deal
