Training Camp will get to Chagaev first.

You really think that B-hop's camp would get into Chagaev's head? Don't know about that.

The safest fight at HW for Hopkins. Everyone else is way too big. He could have a chance with alot of movement.

I tend to think that as well, but do you think that it would be more significant than Roy Jones win over John Ruiz?

I think you guys underrate Chagaev. He is injury prone but he is far from being bad, and he is just behind the Klitschkos in the heavyweight division. He beat the great Felix Savon in the amateurs when he was 18 years old, and that's a big achievement in itself when you know that Felix Savon gave hell to a lot of heavyweight contenders of the nineties. He has also good ring smarsts. I would love to see him fight one of the Klitschkos, it would be more competitive than Wlad-Sultan.

sure, why not, it's not like Chagaev is going to fight a serious fight anytime ... ever.

If Chagaev was 100% ready for the fight?

    I don't think so.

Your right, but that last injury was pretty bad. I believe it was his achilles tendon. That is going to hurt his movement, especially if Hopkins starts circleling.

Yes, if he can pull the win off. Why, because Ruiz gets no respect and Chagaev does for now. Ruiz is a friend of mine and I still believe GBP will market the fight into a bigger event.

That's a very tough assignment for a 44 year old.

The difference between Roy Jones hit and run job is Hopkins is not as much of a mover, and regardless he can't run for 12 rounds.

Even with all the circling in the world, he has to engage at some point. He had to stand and fight with Pavlik, Calzaghe forced the pace, and he'd have to stand up to Chagaev too. Consider that 40% of Hopkins work is in clinches, where he's outgunned for once, and this looks a mountain too steep at this stage.

If Chagaev gets back to 100%, not ****ing chance in hell. Chagaev is mobile, pretty two handed, tough as teak and hits a bit.

    Hopkins is 44 years old.
