I think this fights great for the hw. Ive got a sneaking feeling people are overlooking chag. Just my opinion. It mite be a bit more entertaining in future if not all the hw champions didnt have to duck under the standard door. We might have some exiting match ups. U never know

He has a hell of a chance if he gives it his best. Wlad looks awesome when he's backing fighters up with that jab and he can tee off on them after softening them up. When he fights people who can throw back and can take his shots he loses focus mentally and he certainly cannot take big shots back. I think he's big and lumbering, Chagaev will come in low and beat Wlad with counters. It's great for boxing, we will have a "Ring" official Heavyweight Champion of the World. The WBA should never be classed as a Heavyweight belt after this, also if the IBF strip the winner then they should be ignored too. Basically this fight is the two best current heavyweights who can fight each other. We should embrace it for what it is. I hope it's a great fight.

Vitali still has the stronger lineage as champion. Vitali actuallty fought the last champ, Lewis, in Lewis`s last fight.

But apart from that, he fought for Lewis`s vacant title against Sanders [who was WBO champ]. Sanders had beaten Wladimir in his last fight and Vitali then beat Sanders. Vitali holds the lineage of victory over Wladimir through Wlads unavenged loss to Sanders. Vitali won Lewis`s retired belt and in reality the WBO belt since Sanders was only stripped of it for fighting for the WBC belt!

Vitali gained the Ring belt also which he never lost. He retired without losing his championship. When he returned from retirement he beat the holder of his belt to clear up any claim to his status.

Wlad gained his IBF belt from Byrd! Byrds claim to that belt was beating an undeserving 42 year old Holyfield for a VACANT paper title at the time that Lewis was THE CHAMPION, that belt did not make Byrd champion. Lewis was. Wlad also gained the paper and VACANT IBO title in this fight! All Wlads belts were Vacant titles with no lineage behind them greater than Vitali`s.

The WBO belt Wlad holds was won off Ibragimov in the worst fight in history, Ibragimov won the belt from a line that goes back to a VACANT championship fight for it which Wlad lost to Brewster after it was stripped from the holder, Sanders who ko`d Wlad for the WBO belt and then lost that lineage to Vitali.

THERFORE WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT THE LINEAGE OF CHAMPIONSHIPS RUN STRONGER THROUGH TO VITALI KLITSCHKO.

To summerise, Vitali holds this over Wlad,

    Lewis`s retired title, WBC.
He never lost the Ring title.
    Lineage of victory over Wlad.
    Lineage of WBO title.

Plus who really thinks Wlad could beat Vitali?

I agree, Vitali is awesome, but he won't fight Wlad, and having been retired, he cannot just come back and be number 1. Although, I think he probably is still the best.

Haye is a Glass Jawed joke that either Klitschko would KO with a Jab.

Haye does not want to earn his way to a title fight because he knows if he has to do that he won't ever make it to fighting a Klitschko.

Chagaev has never really impressed me if I'm being honest. He's a solid fighter but lacks real brute power in m my opinion and can be plodding. His win over Valuev was impressive and Wlad will be up against it tonight. However, a few years ago then I would say it's a big test but taking into account the inactivity and injury worry, this will be your typical Waldo borefest with a late stoppage as a tired Chagaev just walks onto one.

Haye pulled out with the injury, not Wladimir.

    Idiotic thread.
