Chagaev vs. Oquendo: Who do you pick?

    This is a pretty even match-up, but there are a couple of interesting factors. Chagaev is carrying a lot of weight for his height. Perhaps more importantly though, Oquendo just got off a long flight to Russia and must be severely jet-lagged. I don't know how much energy he's going to have for this fight. What do you guys think?

    Chagaev decision or late tko. Even now he's still above losing to the likes of Oquendo. He's still game if motivated enough to come in shape and train for fights.

    Oquendo is 41 and took the fight on about 24 hours notice. If Chagaev can't win this he should retire.

    I expect a fairly close fight but Chagaev will do a bit better.

    Oquendo will become rather timid after he's hit a few times and he'll lower his work rate, as he often has in the past. Then Fres will cry robbery as usual.

    No, the fight was announced months ago.

    Oquendo had some promotional issues and nearly pulled out.

    Chagaev should win, probably on points but he may get a stoppage late.

    I'm not happy with his weight, 220-230 suits him. His stocky fridge like body type doesn't carry the extra weight all that well.
