The card looks pretty good, and I like thought of Pov fighting Chag. :good But that title sucks carrots on sunday morning. It's clear the WBA don't give a crap what they look like with this paper belt, as long as they get their sanctioning fees.
That is an awesome card. So I just listened to On the Ropes and Steward was saying that Wlad will probably fight Pov in December. Doesn't make sense. Can any of you see Pov first of all winning, second having the balls and third backing up for a Wlad fight so fast?
I think that **** about the scheduling conflict is bull****. I bet he's been fired as the trainer and Sauerland are trying to get Pov back in the mix ASAP.
I don't know what to make of it. My impression from Steward's interview was that if Chisora wins his fight then he'll fight Wlad in December. If Chisora doesn't win, then Povetkin is in the cards... In that case maybe Povetkin cancels to fight Wlad. Or, perhaps Wlad can wait until late August and take on the winner---that would guarantee a big important legacy fight in December.
I think Povetkin may beat Chag, but I kinda doubt it. But I hope he does, cause the undefeated Povetkin vs Wlad would be a good, big money fight for both. If Chag were to win, I htink Wlad will pick Chisora, but only if HE wins against, Fury. I can't see Wlad fighting Fury, just yet. If Chagaev wins, he'll be passed over........if Fury wins, he'll also be passed over. I think they'll then seek a fight with Arreola, but I hope not. What a contingent filled theory, no?
