Valuev deserves to get another shot, I thought it should've been a UD for Chagaev the first time out but it was still fairly close enough to make a rematch interesting.

Valuev really did seem improved against Liakhovich. He was putting his shots together at short range better, and his jab in particular was thudding away in twos and threes with regularity.

I think Valuev has a chance in this one. It all comes to down to how much he can keep Chagaev at bay and deny him attacks to his body.

Gotta go with the big ****er this time.

He looked good against Lyakovich last time out.

He seems to be a bit more well rounded than the first time these 2 met.

The winner needs to get their optional defense out of the way quickly after this.

Try to set up another unification with Wlad .

I think it really depends on what kind of shape Chagaev shows up in. An improved Valuev vs the same Chagaev as in the first fight would be quite a close fight.

Valuev was terribly open for counter hooks on the inside just Lyakhovich couln't do sh*t about it. Chagaev's gonna beat Valuev with the same punches he beat him in the first fight.. now Valuev might throw more punches, but if that means more jabs only, as Ruslan is great to take that punch away and move on the inside to land shots on the off-balance, out of position Nicolay, it won't be enough to defeat the champ...

The only one who beats Chagaev in this match-up is himself, a bad condition with terrible punch output... The former amateur world champion is so superior in skill level, that it almost hurts... but if Valuev will be the busier, and Chagaev will do what he did against Skelton, he's gonna lose and shame on him for that...

IMO it all depends on Ruslan and I can't predict how focused he will be... only that the Skelton performance is far from his performance against Nico... By the way, as Rocky's record is safe, I might root for Valuev because a Valuev vs. Haye of Valuev vs. Wlad is still an interesting fight on paper...

I thought Valuev was robbed in the first fight but no one cared or saw through it, all they cared about was protecting Marciano's record.

Chagaev is my favorite heavyweight and i Hope he wins but im sure Valuev takes this by UD.

You do not know how to score. Hint - it is a ten point system, and you score round by round.

There was no clear Donald loss.

... how could Chagaev reach Valuev's chin?

Serguei is 6′ 4″, Ruslan is 6′ 1″. Dude wasn't shorter in the Chagaev fight.

i expect valuev to win but if this doesnt go 12, i would be floored. neither are big punchers and both have solid chins or in valuev's case, mountains

    Get you facts right,mate!

Valuev didnt lose big time against Chagaev-it could have gone either way as it was a bloody close fight.Actually, a lot of ring observers had Valuev ahead on points after 12 close rounds vs Chagaev.I for my part quite agree with the official outcome of their encounter.
As for Ruiz vs Valuev it was another close fight which could have gone either way.I had Valuev ahead on points.
As for Donald vs Valuev if I had been a judge then I would probably have scored that fight in favour of the American as he seemed to have done enough to win the fight. However,I wouldnt argue the toss about it.
I guess that you are no Valuev fan,and that you are not really that fond of him,but any neutral fight fan will surely agree with me that all of your aforementioned three big Valuev fights were fairly close affairs.

If Valuev wins, I could see him going for unification against Wlad. If Ruslan wins I think we could see him look to "clear out" a bunch of C Level HWs. Fights against Ruiz, Gomez, Virchis etc.

I like Ruslan in this one...I don't think Valuev can figure him out.
