I have watched allot of Chagaev. I rate him. Skelton makes anyone look crap. He is a tough southpaw, technicly good, quite fast and a big puncher.
I think he would be a tougher fight for Haye than Wlad and Vitali as you can find negatives about the klits. Wlad is overly cautious and a tad chinny, cannot fight backwards. Vitali is like a statue now due to injury's.
chagaev might be small and quick enough to get under wlads jab, get him to the body and make him start to fight a bit more wild good fight, two top heavys going in against each other and considering vitali and wlad wont fight, this is surely the two best and most proven heavys about that will fight each other?
I can't see how Chagaev will be able to land on Wlad. He is short and has no lenght, plus he does not posses the murderous power that could bail him out in this fight. IMO, there is only a tiny chance for a Chagaev win, that if he is able to run for 12 rds and score points while blocking Wlad's jab. The most probable outcome is that Chagaev will be able to stay away from Wlad for 8rds spliting them and then tires and is forced to trade. Then Wlad is at full speed with his jab and 1-2 combinations till: the judge stops it, Chagaev retires on his corner, he manages to go the full 12rds to lose a clear UD.
not likely rob. first, im skeptical the fight comes off cause i seriously question chagaev's bottle. secondly, he has lost a lot due to the illnesses and acl tear, most notably in his movement. Moreover, Chagaev has been facing class C hws as of late and not looked all that sharp. Ruslan has a good power left which he can fire straight or loop over the top but his right is basically a non-factor. He's also a natural counter-puncher who doesn't like to apply pressure. He would let wlad dictate the tempo of the fight and it would turn into another technical mismatch. Not to mention, he's going blind in one eye. other than that, i give him an excellent chance to chin wlad yet again :happy
There is no way a guy who struggled to get past Skelton has a good chance at beating Wlad. Sure it's possible, but i'll bet anything up to 10k sterling with anyone who is picking Chagaev.
Chagaev is much better fighter than Haye, would knock Haye out, but he won't beat Vlad, however, there is still a good chance the Haye fight will happen on July 11th, depends on a lot of things though, including HBO.
This Sultan Ibragimov x2. There's absolutely no way Wlad engages with a southpaw. Easy UD in a fight worse than Wlad-Ibragimov.
