Chagaev's attempt to get to Wlad vs what Haye will try

    Chagaev had a very good gameplan, but he was just not fast enough, or durable enough to see it through. Bob and weave, while keeping your gaurd up, and keep pushing forward while trying like HELL to get inside and unload. But Chagaev was also not really powerful enough to do the needed damage when he did get inside.

    Haye, on the other hand, DOES have the power to stun Wlad, but does Haye have that *weather a beating to get inside and take you out* mentality like Chagaev was attempting to do?

    In the process of *getting over the castle walls*, I am not sure Haye can take the shots that Chagaev did, cause Haye is not iron chinned.

    Even though Chagaev didn't fair very well, at least the guy had the right plan to do a nearly impossible task (Brewster's plan), and he stuck to it, to the very end. You certainly didnt' see any running, lke so many others do against Wlad. I commend Chagaev on that determined performance.

    What will Haye do differently?

    I think we'll see him, not pressing forward as Chagaev did, but Haye will be staying back outta range, moving side to side to avoid the jab, and then after Wlad is extended with a missed right hand, Haye will suddenly come lunging in with fast a swarm of hook shots being winged from ALL directions, with both hands, hoping one lands. And Haye may gass out the first time he tries this.....wtih detrimental effects, of course.

    And that'll be his entire game plan.

    We have to bear in mind Chagaev was hampered somewhat as well by taking the fight on short notice, but a brave effort never the less.

    I agree, except for one thing. Wlad throws that left hook off the jab, and
    sees everything. Especially the wide **** that haye throws. Imagine a short left hook, like that one that dropped ray mercer, coming inside
    one of those wide hayemakers that haye throws. Fight over, just like
    that. Haye has to take risks to reach wladimir. wlad just has to box and
    he'll catch haye. Haye in all logic is a 7 or 8 to 1 underdog in smart money
    sport site's. He's got very little chance to win. Sam peter had a betterchance because he more dangerous offensively and can take it too.

    Chagaev has a much better chin than Haye, he also has more power, stamina and has fought much better fighters, he actually beat Valouev, unlike Haye, who ran without throwing punches waiting of a gift. WBA took title away from Chagaev and gave it back to Valouev..............
