Everybody knows the WBA rules, if the champion unifies its become WBA superchampion or something and then the "regular" WBA champion is added to the pot. So even Chagayev - Ibragimov unifies the titles we'll still have 4 "world" champions: IBF / WBC / WBO-SuperWBA / Regular-WBA. I guess Holyfield will be the first contender to regular WBA title along with Golota this year.
They should all do this. If there was one WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF superchamp, then that would be the real champ, and they could all have their own worthless company guy for sanctioning fees. Everyone is happy.
Yeah, the heavyweight division is in the toilet, no one gives a **** because everyone is either a blown up crusierweight that cant move or punch compared to the 70's heavies or they are just some European trash from the mountains of siberia that fight bums to pad their record so they can get a garbage 12 round decision over another nobody to win a worthless european belt like the one these two are fighting over. This is a start though, I would like to see all four of these belts belong to someone so we could at least say that of all the heavyweight garbage there is, there is one piece of trash thats less boring to watch than the rest. But, if that "super champion" and "champion" ordeal happens, this Euro fight isnt going to solve anything, infact, its just going to make matters worse.
My sentiments, exactly, and so eloquently worded, Novarasputin. :good This *regular champ* nonsense only has merit of fans GIVE it merit. Personally, I will fully ignore any *regular champ* horse****, and I hope the rest of you do the same. Ignore this nonsense, and dont give it a second thought. We are finally starting to get the titles unified, so we have no time for bull**** like a *regular* champ. To HELL with that crap.
