Puerto Rico doesn't have to win. The fact that an island of 3.5 millions people is the biggest rival of a nation with over 110million people is already awesome!!

hahahah what a cop out, and weak excuse. With that mentality, it's no wonder Puerto Ricans haven't won **** recently.

What a cop out! Mexicans love soccer, boxing is okay but in terms of participation rates it is incredibly low. Puerto Rico has a higher participation rate in boxing than Mexico! Has little to do with population size.

You guys just think it's a cop out because you don't understand simple math. Even if Puerto Rico had 3x the participation of Mexico what Puerto Rico does would still be far more impressive. As, 30% x 3.5 mil (Puerto Rico pop.) would be 1,050,000 participants. While 10% of 125 mil would still be 12.5 mil participants. Even at 3x participation rate Mexico would still have over 10x the representation as P.R.
