Chambers shows a bit of ferocity when he throws his punches in clusters. I don't think he has what it takes to beat Wlad, but he has a better chance than Ibragimov and Chagaev.
Yes I agree. At several moments in the fight when Dimi was retreating I was like ''common Chambers put him under pressure and stay close and punish him!!''. But Eddie wouldn't do anything:roll: But all in all it was a GREAT performance by Eddie.
It's based on style and his style isn't an aggressive one as he clearly lacks the power to back it up. It's all about outworking, speed, outpointing and counters here and there for Chambers. Still a durable opponent but not enough to beat Wladimir. For Wladimir an aggressive style with at least decent speed, very good power and some head movement would give him hell. Not asking for a Mike Tyson-like speed, power or head movement just something decent from any of the fighters available would do, sadly there's no one that has that style. Povetkin is a good aggressive fighter though his defense is poor which spells doom against Wladimir and doesn't have serious power to really hurt Wladimir once he manages, if he can, to get inside.
If you saw Dimitrenko early you would know he's not going anywhere, he just lacks too many stuff for me to list as it's pointless because improvements MIGHT be added but nothing major. This isn't the first time Dimitrenko hit the canvas.
And you'd be sadly mistaken, too. He ain't beatin' Wlad - although we all wish he would - even with ferocity. Wlad outsizes Eddie's ass and methodically uses his mechanical fighting to dishearten and then dispose of Chambers.
He needs discipline !! No Heavy will have the affect like Tyson if these fat ****s don't get in shape !!!!!
If Eddie comes in in shape he'll be fighting the Cruiserweight Champion of the world instead of the Heavy.
I'm a fan of both Klitschkos and have been for a long time. "Sadly" wasn't there to discredit them, it was there as a fact that there is no one good enough out there to bring out the best in both Klitschkos. You saw what Lewis was able to do against Vitali, that's the type of pressure these guys need to run into to bring a major fight. Brock, Peter, Ibragimov and Chagaev are all good fighters. As a fan of Wladimir I honestly didn't expect him to dominate someone in Chagaev' class the way he did, that was insanely amazing to see and proves how good Wladimir is. It's a case of Wladimir being TOO good for the guys available right now, it's not his problem some are lacking certain abilities that MIGHT bring him a tough fight. Even though Chagaev used some head movement and blocked A LOT of those jabs with his gloves he wasn't able to get inside at all, Wladimir's defense plays a major role but also Chagaev' offense, which isn't poor at all, but Wladimir's defense made it look like it was. Right now the only fighter I give a great chance against Wladimir is Povetkin and Povetkin is one of the greatest amateurs ever and a great professional heavyweight too. Wladimir is doing his job of fighting everyone available and with how good he is they all end up looking terrible because of what Wladimir brings not because they are terrible in my opinion. My point with that post was regarding an aggressive fighter and what style has the best shot at giving Wladimir a serious fight, it has nothing to do with bashing on Wladimir's opponents.
If you saw Povetkin's fights against Byrd and Chambers he would lose very BADLY against Wladimir. I would say Chris Arreola has the best chance because he has the size and power, but he lacks the skills and is out of shape. Maybe in like one year from now Arreola would beat Wlad, but he needs a lot of improvement skill wise and needs to get in shape.
