I think to a degree logic says Dimitrenko.

Chambers i've seen at my gym. Not a big guy whatsoever...you wouldn't spot him in a huddle. Seeing him spar though, his hands definitely are pretty fast. And he has slimmed up a good bit, which he needed to do. His defense is also pretty damn good. He sees a lot of stuff coming.

My hope is Chambers wins this.

Please thank your fighters for stepping up to the plate and getting knocked out. Sounds like they are good sports.:yep.

Im always surprised that so many US boxing fans have never seen someone like Dimitrenko fight. Why is that? Europeans manage to get the US fights without any problems. Thats at least the impression i have from several boards, including a german boxing board i regulary visit. All people there find ways to watch the HBO and Showtime cards.

Im picking Dimitrenko. I think his size, combined with his speed and good footwork will get him the UD. But its nearly a 50:50 fight. Chambers should jump on Dimitrenko early. I think Chambers would have advantages if he can make a real fight out of it. Dimitrenko likes to follow a strict pattern.

Most Europeans can speaks some English, whereas Americans are self centered, lazy, often dumb and can't be bothered to learn another language. So, we (yes I'm one of those dumb Americans) would not know where to start in looking for a German broadcast or any non English language TV station. I do try to see if anyone uploads fights to youtube. I'll definitely check for some Dimetrenko and I'm interessted in seeing the fight with Chambers.

Look, the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. As talented a fighter as Eddie Chambers is, he has left behind a trail of fights in which he has just coasted from time to time without doing anything. Minutes of inactivity and leaving rounds on the table for otherwise outclassed opponents like Brock and Peter to take have been the calling card of Eddie Chambers. Easy UD's became split and majority decisions. Povetkin just took over in the middle rounds as Chambers faded away after doing quite well early on.

In Dimitrenko you will have a motivated fighter with a substantial height advantage and the willingness to be active. He'll be throwing punches when Chambers is not and whose to believe we won't see these patches of inactivity from Chambers again? The difference here is that Dimitrenko won't let him coast. He's not your typical stand-up fighter as he could move well for his size. He's also willing to mix it up and based on the Krasniqi fight, he can produce a wicked body shot if given the chance.

He improved against Peter. One thing you notice after his loss to Povetkin, Chambers has been using a lot more footwork and lateral movement. Also his punchout improved against Peter too, he was just cautious because he didn't want to trade with Peter. I really expect Chambers to have a higher output compared to previous fights.

Who said he had to trade with him to be effective? A guy can be effective without digging in and going into the trenches. Chambers certainly has the ability to mount an effective attack without getting sloppy. I understand that you need to respect a puncher like Peter but after a few rounds it was plain to see that Sam wasn't doing much at all. Chambers really could have done more but he didn't so he got what that gets you, a majority decision. I'm saying this as a fan of Chambers. I like the guy. He's got a good set of skills and seems to be able to take a punch. I just don't like his tendencies, which he himself addresses.

i watch internet broadcasts of fights in other countries, regardless of language.

i dont need to know wtf the announcers are saying, i could care less.

i think a lot of us are just spoiled and dont want to have to watch a shitty internet stream.

Guys, its not as if Dimitrenko footage is particularly hard to find...

    Last fight against Krasniqi;

    [YT]PiCSprms3yc[/YT]

His entire fights with Rossy and Hoffman are also easily found.

I agree. Eddie is hard to hit flush and he times his counters well. I think he wins this as long as he keeps busy enough & he doesn't get caught by some big punch. Dimitrenko can hit & has good fundamentals but he's a bit too upright & predictable and Eddie is quite a bit faster.

Chambers by close but clear decision.

Dimitrenko looks like a lot of the russian/ukraine fighters. Fights behidn the jab, moves back and out of range and ties up when fighting inside.

One thing I like about him is he mixes up his shots, which wlad doesnt do. You see him throwing uppercuts and bodyshots. I like how he looks. The only issue here is Chambers hand speed advantage, its decisive. I think Chambers will win on points based on his hand speed and weight (increased work rate)

If chambers takes a lot of time off like he has int he past he will lose. Either way this fight goes the distance and its a decision win.
