He's a decent heavyweight with fast hands. He had a really nice win tonight, but wouldn't beat Povetkin.
Btw I was joking in my previous comment. LOL Easy win for Povetkin, AND Wlad puts chambers in the hospital.
Chambers showed nothing to show he is a threat to Wlad, and most likely not Povetkin either. Povetkin is by far the best heavyweight prospect. I would favor Wlad over him, but am excited about the fight that seems close to happening. I don't think Povetkin will be stunned by Chambers fast hands, and no way he lets him walk him back like he did against Brock. Chambers did seem to have a decent chin though, but I still think Povetkin wins.
Chambers will have to move much more against Povetkin. If he stands in front of him and tries to slip like tonight, he'll get savaged. Still, if Chambers goes back to lateral movement and quick combos, he can make a fight of it against Povetkin.
I'll say this much, if Chambers tries that walking in with his hands down **** with no lateral movement Povetkin will brutalize him & Klitschko will massacre him.
Calvin Brock is not Alexander Povetkin or Wladimir Klitschko. Eddie Chambers is a smart guy, and probably knows this.
The split decision was bull****. I had it 7 to 5 rds and I was being generous. Eddie is one of the best American prospects, but still probably not good enough to beat Povetkin.
Yeah but he didn't fear Brock's power at all. The same Brock that had that highlight reel KO vs. Zuri Lawrence, the same Brock who got off the canvas to almost KO Jameel McCline. Brock looked like slow, sloppy, **** tonight and his weight was probably half of it & the poor advice from his Dad in the corner didn't help either. He told Calvin to run for the last round in a close fight. atsch Brock let Eddie steal rounds in the final 30-45 seconds of every round after the first 3. atsch WTF? He didn't look that slow vs. Wlad. And let me add that Steve Farhood is outta his ****in mind if he thinks the score was really 117-111 atsch To add to it all his voice sounds similar to that other bonehead Kellerman.
Povetkin - Chambers is an interesting match-up but i'm inclined to say Povetkin will punish the slickster, but Eddie is very elusive so we'll see
7 to 5 or even 8 to 4 is more like it. Farhood gave round 2 to Chambers for only throwing a few punches.:-(
