You are on point with the adjustment:good At one point you saw a look of confusion go through Povetkin as he kept getting DRILLED with RIGHT HANDS:yep Then Povetkin adjusted and postioned his attack better. Chambers spent his time blocking shots rather COUNTERING/ANSWERING BACK through the second half. Chambers worst flaw exposed, its NOW TIME TO CORRECT IT!! Hope Mcgirt sticks around. Team Chambers got work to do and improvements TO MAKE. The guy has the tools, can he find the way to use them more?
Povetkin adapted and overcame...which is what you gotta do to be a great fighter. Chambers did look good early on...but he just kinda turned off the switch. I think Chambers should make Mcgirt his head trainer...it could one of the best things he could do. He has the skills, which were evident early on, now he just needs to use them properly. He also needs to be more aggressive. I think if he stays with Mcgirt we will see a lot of improvement.
The division is alive & well. :deal That was a really good fight IMO. Chambers did a lot better than most expected & Povetkin's workrate is tremendous for a HW.
Chambers should have done a lot of things, but he can't, because he isn't good enough in a number of departments. He never really looked like knocking out Povetkin, so I'm not sure what you were watching If he stopped training in McDonalds he could make cruiser, and he'd be a force
Watching a guy stand around and absorb punches on his gloves for 7 straight rounds passes as a good fight these days?
You saw two quality boxers who were undefeated square off and some of you are bitching and dont even really understand what you saw Chambers showed good skill, fast hands. sound technique, willingness to stand in, and heart. He fell short on volume and made a fight. There's a REASON 40% thought Povetkin would win by KO:hey Think that **** is EASY? Povetkin himself said it was a perplexing fight. Chambers was good enough a fighter to expose him a little to right shots. Think everyone's FAST enough to land them??:huh Chris Byrd SURE THE **** WASNT:nono How come other guys get Ko'd and battered when they stand in front??:huh Yet, Wladimir Klitschko has a size, reach, and power advantage in his right hand. So Povetkin better get BUSY with the GAME PLAN, conditioning, and PERFORMANCE to come:good Look forward to plenty analysis to come on it.:yep
