Well, at least he stopped him early.... Matovu has a very bad record, but he isn't easy to stop like that. Where does Chambers go from here?

Didnt Chambers fights some other nobody like...a week ago?

At least hes getting back in the ring, maybe dusting off some ring rust.

Hes not going to keepo fighting these guys. These are basically sparring sessions to get back in the groove.

Before 2 weeks ago, he had only fought 4 times in about 4 years

Matovu has the skills of an angry fishwife, but he is a big awkward bulk who is hard to stop, Chambers is just edging his way into his new shape

Yeah he fought the other week, he admitted he wants more fights, and more rounds before diving back into the deep end

Too little too late honestly. I don't think his career will pick up again.

Chambers was supposed to fought Ian Lewison, a gritty sparring partner type who is just now coming into his prime.

Lewison backed out, and Team Fury rightly found a replacement soas Eddie could make a few bucks to continue his re-emergence.

I know this might sound ludicrous what Im about to suggest, but Eddie should be thought of as a 2 fight novice with an extensive am background right now.

He has LITERALLY had 4 careers now.
    1. When he first came into the "scene" he was a FAT fast handed light hitter. Much like Ruiz Jr without the pop b/c he has little tone under that fat.

    2. He slowly lost weight increasing his speed but not really doing much in the way of increasing power. This was when he was actually considered a top 10 contender.

    3. He lost a ton of weight and caused himself injury trying to slim down in an effort to increase his speed advantage even more than he'd already had over most HWs. Injuries plagued him and eventually he lost a disputed decision in which he was a gaunt 202 lbs potshotting a 225lb Adamek while only using his jab and turning SP to throw it like a cross. Eventually he broke the CW limit and got clowned by a speedy Cper. His power was supposed to increase at the lighter weight, and we all figured his speed would as well. Well, neither got better, and he almost looked chinny.

    4. This is where Peter Fury comes in. He reminds Eddie that he was once upon a time a top 5 HW. And he got there with fast hands. But he would never be elite b/c he wasn't strong enough to dent these big HWs. So PF has been teaching him to punch, and to use his handspeed and newfound power to mix it up and really drive his shots.

IDK bout yall, but looking at him today, vs when he was giving Peter a boxing lesson and when he was battering a gassed Dimitrenko......I'd say we havent seen the BEST of Fast Eddie......

Hopefully he can get someone like Arrich or Hammer next, and show what Team Fury has done with his strength and conditioning. If he can get a KO over either those guys, then he's ready for a top 10, and maybe even a fight with stablemate, Tyson Fury.:think
