A recent LA Times article has spoken about Victor Conte (founder and former head of BALCO) and how he's working with Eddie Chambers and Andre Ward. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-victor-conte4-2009dec04,0,657682.story He also recently made comments on the Pacquiao - Floyd situation, here is a quote from it. http://www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Kim122509.htm# "Creams, transdurmals, clear the fastest. Orals, would be next. Water-based drugs- including testosterone- would be next, then the oil-based. So some of these can clear in a matter of hours and days," explained Conte."So if you know when you're going to be tested a week out, you go off the use of oral testosterone, for example, you're going to test negative. So that is really an issue." With this information does anyone still think that Ward and Chambers aren't cheaters?
lol really. All the Americans laying into Pacquiao and no comments on 2 American fighters. A much stronger case could be made for Ward and Chambers cheating yet no criticism?
You won't hear much at all about it because Pac's primary haters have a keen way of switching to defensive mode when it comes to their fighters. They care more about defending Floyd and knocking down Pacquaio than the topic as a whole.
There are, in my opinion, two salient differences in the situations: 1) Neither Ward nor Chambers has ever been accused of using PEDs. Because of that fact, they have not had to deny a request for additional testing above the sanctioning body norm. If the tests were requested by an opponent because of this association with Conte, then the analogy would have more validity. 2) Somewhat related, neither man has accomplished such a fantastic ascendancy in both performance and weight like Pacquiao. Does this mean that Pacquiao is juicing? No, but it raises suspicions (no matter how silly one may think they are).
So Pacquiao is under these stipulations because of his accomplishments? People said Diaz was a bum, DLH weight drained, shot, Hatton walks into a punch face first, and he beat Cotto who was hurt by Zab Judah and hurt by Malignaggi at 140. Weight: He was at 140 since his fight with Morales to 149 against Cotto on fight night.
Well it is interesting to note how drastically Chambers's shape altered recently. He was very overweight and would have a low output and gas then all of a sudden he's 208 and in great shape for the first time ever
