:yep I would love to see him get a crack at Guillermo Jones, if only to see a 9" height disparity in a world title bout. I can't remember the last time we saw that.
I don't if hes that much slower but everyones speed (the lighter, faster guys at CW) has come closer to matching his
as much as everyone thought eddie should have always been a cw..losing weight and dropping down a division is really hard to do.... its prob why you dont see solis and arreolla doing it..once you lose so much weight.your body starts breaking down regardless of how much better you look on the eye... chambers looked a shell of himself..
I should of known betting on Chambers was a bad idea when i saw his fat ass before the fight. As Haye once said- he's an absolute disgrace to boxing.
CW division is dog**** regardless of this fight. Chambers is used to being the faster boxer in the ring which isn't the case at CW anymore where he's nothing but average pace-wise.
Think the chance of that happening is slim to none under the circumstances. Wasn't tomorrow his last chance to order opening the b sample? Otherwise he'll lose his belt again.
Well it's one thing to drop down a weight divison when you are already fit for your current divison. There's another thing to drop down in weight in order to get FIT for your current divison. It's not like weighing 40 pounds to much on fight night is going to help solis at all. If he trains reguarly and looses like 1 pound a week which isn't that much and is a slow and steady rate he would get into some serious shape in under a year. So the thing is that Solis needs to dedicate himself alot more and just loose the weight slowly but surley. And not make excuses about not fighting enough, I mean he's a professional fighter.
It's relative innit. Against the big guys he seems faster. Against guys his own size his speed advantage is lost and against Mchunu he looked like a lumbering sack of spuds. I'm sure 'Fast':rofl Eddie wasn't takin' the fight seriously, but I was very impressed with Mchunu for sticking to the plan and exploiting his advantages. His speed and mobility were pretty special for a CW and his counterpunching especially the combos served to completely disarm Chambers. I'd have to see more of the Kid, course, but I think he shows a lot of promise.
