thanks ib... im glad to see hes being humble..after all everyone loses at some point.. im still pissed at the guy tho he definitly didnt do his homework on this dude and payed the price..he also looked lathargic and lost...hope he can bounce back tho..
Chambers didn't need to lose that much weight you know. and it wasn't exactly muscle either, it was flab. the weight shouldn't even come into it unless people are looking to make excuses for him. the speed that he enjoyed at Heavy is now evened out. and the skill level is more rounded at Cruiser than Heavy. Chambers likes his opponents to come to him so he can counter, but he didn't get that at all in this fight. he was the one made to come forward where it showed how clueless he is on the front foot. same thing happened to Broner. he just isn't as good as people were claiming. he's not bad or anything, just not a world beater.
don't worry, your English is fine. :good in fact, it's better than a lot of English speaking posters on here. :yep
he looked a ghost because he didn't have the ability to deal with a counter puncher. it had nothing to do with weight.
agreed. cant believe all the dummies talking about weight loss when he was 202 pounds in his last fight before this. so many posters, so many dont know **** about boxing
yes but you cant lose the flab without losing some of the muscle...no excuses here mate..chambers didnt do his homework..he thru more punches at hw than he did in this fight which is very strange..you cant pot shot your way to victories all the time..hes a long way to go if he wants to make it as a cw..cw throw more punches and if he is to use his pot shot style he may get alot quicker and throw alot more punches... he really disapointed me mate
so let me get this straight you think you know everything about boxing because you dont think eddie stepping down in weight was abit of a mistake...just losing a stone will affect your performance... and no one is making an excuse its just an assumption as his work rate was so ****ing poor...
Hey, he had no way of knowing Chambers would debut in such a dud. He seemed to have the tools to guide him through a weak division. Obviously, that was wrong.
to me he looked like a ghost..his work rate was awful..but as you say could be because he was trying to be the agresser..could be a combination of it all....personally i think it was because he didnt do enough homework on him and didnt know how to adapt.. me talking about the weight loss tho isnt just about this fight tho his body has obviously been under pressure for quite sometime..since hes been taking it off how many injuries has he had?? just an observation tho
his work rate was down because he was the one coming forward and didn't want to leave himself wide open for the counter. the guy he fought was pretty good at setting the shots up. also he could punch with a bit of speed on them. Chambers felt some of the shots and thought better of it. it was just a style clash. i agree that Chambers probably didn't know anything about the guy. he had, what, 14 fights in total? and one of them was a loss. he probably thought he was a no one who couldn't fight and would just walk right through him. he was even calling him a midget on Facebook. so there wasn't really any respect there. Chambers got a big shock though. as did we all. because i didn't know anything about him. are there even any of his fights on YT? Chambers wouldn't have been burning muscle. that only happens if you have no fat content. only when you have burnt off all the excess flab will you then be burning off muscle. Chambers certainly didn't have this problem so it wasn't that. don't know about problems with injury, so can't really comment there. but he didn't go into this fight with any. he said he was in great shape. i still think Cruiserweight is his division. he just needs to pick his next few opponents that have quite a bit of footage out there so he knows what he's dealing with before hand. upping the competition with every fight. he should also work on fighting on the front foot because they're not slow lumbering guys like he's used to at Heavy. loads of fighters use the ring on the back foot at Cruiser so he's going to have to get used top it. if he doesn't, he's only going to find himself in the same position as he did at the weekend. whether this was just a blip or not will be evident over the next 12 months. so we'll see.
