I think the well is going dry on Sonnen in this one. I'd like to see another long extended battle this time around - but I think Anderson catches him early on in this one and sparks him out.

I think so as well. I reckon everything lined up in Chael's favour the first ti,e, but he missed his chance. Should have played safe and ran out the clock for the last half of the round. :-(

Incidentally, it's funny that nobody gives Chael any credit for pushing the action even when he was miles ahead on all scorecards. For the amount of bitching about Greg Jackson safety-first just-get-the-win style fights, nobody seems to appreciate Chael's warrior mentality of fighting hard every minute of every round, even when lay and pray would have virtually assured him a championship belt. :yep

Why do you keep ignoring the fact that Chael was cheating with a ****ing 16.9 T/E ratio. Thats some serious juicing going on, and its flat out cheating.

Well, because I don't know enough about the subject to take a firm stand. :conf

I have no idea of the real-world effects of that ratio, or the extra performance that it gave. How much, how little, how much was cleared with the commission ahead of time, how easy or difficult it is for that ratio to wildly change etc.

And I have no real knowledge of how flagrant a cheat it is - all fighters are on all kinds of suppliments, and I don't have the background knowledge to know exactly how roided Chael was. How roided was he in comparison to PRIDE-era Cro Cop or Shogun, or Brock-era Overeem? :huh I have no idea. :conf So I acknowledge his roiding and don't excuse it, but I don't talk about it because I don't know enough to pass appropriate judgement. :good

I do know that Chael didn't look like the same fighter against Bisping. That Chael is in for a terrible time, hence my pick of Silva by stoppage. :yep

That's exactly what's going to happen. Silva is going to humiliate him. And i can't wait :love

Didn't you pick Sonnen two years ago??

I'm leaning towards Sonnen this time, but won't.

Yes but I realize that the man cannot do any GnP and that would always be his problem against a guy with good submissions.

If this was a 3 round fight, Id favor him but in a longer match, Hed get caught.

Anything can happen, but it is not smart to fight mad. If he is just one up from a tin can how is he gave Silva fits for the first fight? Just saw clips, don't know history as to whether Silva was injured prefight.
