I thought that the s. Korean movie 'Champion' was very good. My favorite boxing movie actually. Anyone seen it? how close to reality was it? what kind of fighter was boom boom mancini? I know he was from youngstown not too far from here.
Yeah, it's not a bad movie. Although it makes Kim out to be an absolute overachiever, the way he goes from nothing to fighting for the World title may be an indication of why he was beaten so badly. But as I say I think that's more of movie hyperbole than anything else. Mancini was a tough brawler, think Katsidis times 5 and you're about there.
