    I thought that the s. Korean movie 'Champion' was very good. My favorite boxing movie actually. Anyone seen it?

    how close to reality was it? what kind of fighter was boom boom mancini? I know he was from youngstown not too far from here.

    Yeah, it's not a bad movie. Although it makes Kim out to be an absolute overachiever, the way he goes from nothing to fighting for the World title may be an indication of why he was beaten so badly.

    But as I say I think that's more of movie hyperbole than anything else.

    Mancini was a tough brawler, think Katsidis times 5 and you're about there.

    Kim was tough as hell. He was weight drained fighting Mancini and gave him the ifght of his live

    True, that was the catalyst that sparked day-before weigh-ins.

    yes but he terribly weight drained im surprised it was such a fight. Whata shame that guy was a great fighter and brave.

    wow man. Look at the heart in this fight. Kim was fighting hard to the end, and talk about a chin. It says the mother committed suicide. Then so did the ref, out of guilt for not stopping I guess.
