    You might be on to something but for a different reason than you might think. Financial gain is a great motivator for any and all professional boxers and that's why you might get fighter who come from a rougher background who train hard and fight even harder.

    I agree with you, but I also wonder if harsh living conditions and a grudge deep inside has anything to do with they way they learn to deal with physical pain and the anger deep inside helps them harness strength and power. For example, do you think had a young tyson or tony ayala had therapy at a young age, would the have been as good? And of course this doesn't apply to everyone, also valero...
