how many champions can you name that came basically from the street (where they learned to fight) where it was a dog eat dog world and if you didnt eat everybody up they ate you?how many of these champions learned to fight in the street and what trainers took them onto championships but let them fight naturally while only covering the basics of boxing 101?

None...allow me to expand. Being from the street can give you the drive...the need to succede (because you have no other options) the toughness...the agressive mind set...but acttual fighting style? No...plenty of guys from the street ended up as smouth fighters...the guys who fight rough and physical do so because that is what they can do well..they are strong...have good chins, but maybe not as quick or athletic. Heck a guy like Ricky Hatton fought like a street fighter, he didn't grow up rich, but definitly less street then many other guys, yet he fought like that because those where his strenghts, and that was how he was trained...
Roy Jones said he was a fighter in school, hed fight any bullies that picked on other kids... not the most ovbiopus example but the most unique compared to others mentioned.
:good even the crudest fighters need to learn how to reach a real boxer by feinting their way into position at the very least. They may slam away like an animal when they have a man hurt but that is just instinct. mike tyson had that raw instinct but was taught direction. he is still one of the most manufactured science experiments in boxing history. The grooming of mike tyson cost jacobs and co a fortune. he was a full time job for a lot of people.
