Champions who would never have been Champion if there were only one belt per division, name a few.

    John Ruiz
    Herbie Hide
    Tommy Morrison
    Michael Bentt
    Gaven Rees
    Sven Ottke

    Give me some more names
I dont expect you to name everyone just the more prominent ones that stand out to you personally.

My god there is too many to name. I was getting ready to at least list the current champs that would have never made it and even that is too many for me to be bothered, let alone all time.

just looking at the champs at the min u could argue that nicolay valuev, giaccobe fragomeni, guilermo jones, marco huck, carl froch, robert stielglitz, lucian bute, felix sterm, sebastian sylvester, daniel santos, cory spinks, andre berto, issac hlatchwayo, devon alexander, amir khan, jean pascal, gabriel campillo, tavoris cloud, zsolt erdei, edwin valero, humberto soto, juan carlos salgado, elio rojas, cristobal cruz, steve luevano, juan manuel lopez, toshiaki nishioka, anselmo morena, fernando montiel, simphiwe nonggayi, marvin sonsona and a few more would not have been champions yet and that is just a list out of current champions excluding the last six months, last year, last decade, last 40 year - you could probably list over a thousand boxers

There's 4 belts instead of 1. Mathematically, that means that 3/4 of all titlists probably wouldn't be one without multiple belts. This thread could go on forever.

Very true! It is also true that you could turn this thread inside out by bringing up a scenario like the following:

There was a brief period in 1976 when Alexis Arguello was the WBA champ at 126, and Danny "Little Red" Lopez was the WBC champ: Which guy wasn't a champion?

There are many such instances in history.
