10 rounder against Alimento. Collapsed after the 8th and was rushed to the hospital. Pray for his well being.

    Boxing is brutal.

    Looked really bad :(

Must admit the fight was a really good one before the tragic ending and Alimento REALLY impressed me, hopefully his career won't be ruined by the win. Both guys were taken to hopsital.

Thoughts go out to the Thai youngster who I've been a big fan of.

    What? :scaredas:

I am watching the fight right now and was happy about the first FOTY Contender after three rounds...

Wait until after they show the cards after round 8.

I was expecting a FOTY candidate (and it is a great fight) but that ending...scary and worrying

Terrible...I hope both fighters are alright, but Chanachai sounds like he's in bad shape (just going by this thread)

That did not look good at all, and I didn't like how his cornermen had him hanging there with his head bobbing around, while smacking him in the face. But I also understand the panic of their reaction.

Panic is the right word. They're trained to anticipate such a scenario, but when it actually happens, knowledge goes out the window. The smacking him in the face was a desperate attempt to get Chanachai to respond and demonstrate mental capability and awareness.

    So sad.

How on earth was this fight sanctioned one fighter 34 - 0 against a man
0-2-0 No way in hell was that a legitimate fight

This was 5-0 (2) vs 9-0 (6) that's a pretty fair fight, especially by Thai standards

For what it's worth Noknoi, who holds the longest active winning streak in the sport, was on the same card, I've seen debutants with more skill than him, VERY padded record, makes JCC Snr's taxi drivers look like former elite amateurs.

And as The Beast mentioned, a lot of Asian (specifically Thai, Indonesian and Korean) fighters have incomplete records.
