Canelo needs a (T)KO to win. That is partly what $ucks about this fight. No matter what Canelo, does, people like rafael ("he won every minute of every round on my score card") will only always see solely what floyd does. Its like they are in some sort of trance.

You do realize the world of boxing will make much more money off of a Canelo W than if mayweather wins... Mayweather will still be a star and be able to make a lot of money during his last few fights... Canelo will be a HUGE star for YEARS to come.

I feel like this is sort of like DLH vs Trinidad... Only this time it will be De La Hoya getting the last laugh...

There is more chance of it snowing in Hell than of Canelo getting a decision over Floyd in Vegas. As long as Floyd is standing at the final bell he wins. That much was decided BEFORE the fight was even signed.

Yes, and oscar was 10x the star Floyd is and 10x more important to boxing.

This fight isn't nearly what that was. That level was so much higher in terms of 2 evenly matched ATGs at their PRIMES, both carrying left hooks with heavyweight power, both undefeated with stellar resumes.
This is a fight with one aging ATG, and one untested good young fighter. The aging ATG has next to no power, doesn't have an exciting offense or fighting style, but Canelo does have some power and can go to war if the fight suffices. But we will get a chess match floyd will be easily dominating. There will not be alot of punches landed on either side I don't believe. Floyd will slowly dismantle Canelo and win his usual boring UD.

Why can't the fighter who wins get the decision?
All this is posturing for later excuses for the outcome of the fight. I don't remember Floyd being shown any favoritism on score cards since Castillo? No do I recall him getting short changed by judges since Oscar?

    After Pac/Bradley, anything is possible.

But I still think Canelo will need to earn the victory to get the W.

canelo will be at best a contender in three years and more like a gatekeeper. to be a star you have to win and when was the last time there was a 5'7" fighter sporting 10-ounce gloves that won for "YEARS to come" in the last 30 years?

    never.

undersized fighters that won for "YEARS to come(over three years)" in the last three decades were mike tyson and james toney.

canelo is a 154 poor mans version of tommy morrison without the dukes power.

no matter what team canelo does he cant fix his abnormally short legs and lack of god-given one punch power.

you guys are so stupid it hurts:rofl:patsch

Why would vegas reward floyd with a decision for PAST PERFORMANCE???

Who's the better long term investment for the casinos....a 36yr old, or a 23yr old who just put 40k in a stadium, has a massive ethnic group totally behind him, and is about to be a household name after this PPV?

Of course he'll get the benefit of the doubt in each and every round
