I bet the chance to shut everybody up about not fighting the best and the chance to really nail down his legacy will be more than enough enticement to return. Nobody expects him to stay retired anyway. I'm sure he thinks he can beat Cotto.
I truly belive that Mayweather will pull a Hagler and walk away. (And resist the temptation to ever come back) He don't have the passion for it anymore, let's respect his decision.
No doubt he still has passion for money, attention, and respect though. Fighting Cotto would provide a lot more of each.
All Cotto has to do: look into the camera during the post-fight interview tonight and say... you just saw more action tonight than all of Floyd's fights put together.:good Though I don't agree with the statement, it just might fire Floyd up...I'd sure like to see him fight one more time.
I think deep down Mayweather care about his legacy and family more than anyithing. The whole money thing is just a gimmick, but he does say that he wants enough cash so that all his younger relatives can live easy. I think he retired so that he can see what people of think of him when he has fully retired. If he doesn't have much of a legacy then he will be back. Most people are just calling him a ***** and hating him, it seems he doesnt have a great legacy at the moment so i guess he will box again.
