should somehow a froch/pascal rematch come to fruition....and froch were to come away with a light heavyweight strap....with an "0" in tact

anybody think this might be enough to lure calzaghe into one more dance??? im sure this would be quite the affair over there

Well Bobby...... Hopefully Calzaghe would be lured out for a final farewell to all his fans at the Millenium Stadium, the biggest all British clash since Benn Eubank, and Calzaghe beats him in a great great fight

Now THAT would be absolutely Perfect

    :hat

If it did happen Calzaghe would make Froch look even worse than he made Jeff Lacy look.

yer probably right....just throwing the scenario out there....if that went down and froch won....youd have to wonder if the money, plus froch trash talking about how he also won a light heavy belt, would somehow lure calzaghe out

the whole thing is pretty far fetched though...i agree

I dont think Froch has done nearly enough yet to warrant getting Calzaghe out of retirment, and by the time he does (if he does) Joe will be too old to come back

haha i agree...im not much of a calzaghe fan myself...dont have a whole lot of respect for him...i think too many wannabe hardcore boxing fans go outta there way to give him props and respect...i remain relatively unimpressed

Hops faked a low blow to take a long break, that is a concession of the match to many a true boxing fan

    Why not?

Undefeated,a WBC champion, holds wins over middleweight champion Jermaine Taylor and current WBC light heavyweight champion Pascal.
Also inside the distance wins against Robin Reid and Brian Magee.
Don't you realise just how good Froch could be if he continues to win in high profile fights? Unlike Calzaghe's reign, Froch has plenty of real challenges, as many as he needs:-

Bute, Balzsay, Abraham, Pavlik, Paul Williams etc let alone Hopkins and Kessler and new kids Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell.

Lots of options for Froch, and he will get the big fights because others fighters fancy their chance with him. I hope he does well.

I think Calzaghe will be far too old when Froch is really appreciated.

No chance whatsoever. Calzaghe will only fight for big money, and no matter what happens in the next year, Froch won't become a big enough draw to pull Calzaghe out of retirement.

For some reason I feel Froch would be the stronger fighter but I see Calzaghe stopping him late due to outboxing Froch and also due to Lacy like punishment.

This fight would be MASSIVE over here. Sell out a football stadium (60,000) and tons of PPV buys

It would get a lot of buys Stateside as well

Joe would make a Lot of money

but he's seriously retired, of that i'm certain
