GSP don't want any of silva, and understandably so IMO. Silva is able to compete at LHW, and GSP is unproven at MW.
I think Dana wants it also, and there is nothing left for silva at MW. I still think silva is very capable of beating jones, this is by far and away the biggest fight that can be made in MMA, bring it on I say, hopefully later this year
But what are the chances of this fight actually happening? I have my doubts

doubt this happens . I don't think silva wants that fight , but who knows. Jones would probably beat him. He's too strong in the clinches / ground

Worry about Silva beating Weidman before you start thinking about him fighting Jones.

it could happen but Jones will just take Silva down ten beat the **** out of him with elbows. Silva has no shot to win

You seem to forget that Silva has been in there with the best like the Michael Jordan of BJJ

I would like to see it but i dont really think anderson wants a piece of jones. Anyway with his toe broken its kind of puts things on the back burner for a while.

If weidman beats Silva then there will no doubt be a rematch.

Jones simply is too young, too big and too complete for anyone from LHW down to have a shot against.

He outpunches punchers and outwrestles wrestlers.

I can't see anything other than Jones throwing Silva to the mat very quickly and then doing exactly what Sonnen did to him, except with the addition of brutal, fight-ending elbows.

Dana White said Anderson Silva called him last night, but I believe Chris Weidman has as good of a shot as at beating The Spider.

The blueprint for how to beat Silva is there. Sonnen showed everybody in two different fights. But it needs someone who causes much more damage from top control. Out of the entire UFC roster, which guy has the most vicious, damaging and fight-ending ground and pound? :think

Silva is probably the most skilled guy in the world. But what Jones is good at beats what Silva is good at. A big explosive wrestler with unstoppable take downs, dominant top control and fight ending GNP is more often than not going to beat a pure striker. Add in the fact that Jones is much bigger and has a much longer reach and also the fact that he seems to be able to fight in a different way depending on his opponent. How the **** do you even train to beat that? I'm sure Chael thought Jones would be striking from the outside all night but he tied him up and had him on his back in seconds. Jones walks through everyone below HW.

Thing is, Jones isn't like Sonnen. Jones went after Sonnen because Sonnen has nothing striking wise to keep Jones honest.

I think Silva knows whats up. Jones injured his big toe and will have trouble planting on that foot and probably experience pain in all sorts of control positions from the top.

Silva isn't getting any younger. Iron is hot right now.

For Jones, he can be a little sloppy coming forward, he gets away with it because he has such crazy reach and range. Not going to be able to move forward like that vs. Anderson without considerable risk.

I think Silva would back pedal and use angles to avoid looking to keep and control a certain sweet range to uncork his striking. Bet on Anderson seeing something that he felt he could build on, as far as Lyoto's limited but significant success against Jones.. Jones looked like he could be cracked consistently by Lyoto, don't forget that he was walking right into Lyoto's traps.

Jones, I think with Jackson in his corner is going to do stuff like work in off the jab and go for the body lock off of it, and work for a takedown from there. Super safe, workmanship gay wrestling..I doubt Jackson camp has Jones go after Anderson like he did Fail the mouth Sonnon. Bro, think about it! You can't forsee this ****?
