Thats not proof. Why do you lot believe everything hearn says is fact? Think about it, how has brook been earning more than £600k fighting mandatories such as bizier and dan on regular sky?

The Porter fight was on Showtime. The Gavin fight was on PPV and Showtime.
You've ignored the link for the Vargas fight which is a PPV stadium fight.

    Let's do the maths.

    Kells last fight against Bizier.

    Did around 8,000 tickets.

    Let's use a mean figure of £70 per tickets. 8,000 x 70 = £560,000 gate revenue approx

Add minimal tv income, say £50,000. plus sponsorship another £50,000

    Total income £660,000 approx.

Deduct purses for Bizier (£75k), Campbell (£10k), Dave Allen (£5k), and Adam Etches (£5k) = £95,000

Cost of venue = anywhere between £10k to £30k maybe more.

Additional costs = ringcraft, security, lighting rig, sound etc = £10k

    Promoters cut assume around 10%

We therefore end up with a maximum figure around £500K mark, that's assuming there was 8,000 in there which is being optimistic. Not accounting for other additional costs, such as extra promotional costs etc.

I would say Kell probably earnt £400k in his last fight.

Do you actually believe that Kell gets any of the revenue from the showtime coverage?

Has he fought Vargas? I must have missed that

    Of course.

Why not give a detailed version of how much he earned for his PPV fight v Gavin, then we can believe you and not his promoter.

The PPV card against gavin is a non-starter. Also on that bill was AJ, Selby, Gradovich, Cleverley, Mitchell, and Linares. Plus two British title fights. I'd say it'd be a similar figure to what he earnt headlining in sheffield.

OK pal. We'll listen to an internet poster from Burnley rather than the man who pays him.
Back to your opening post. Brook isn't going to accept £600k when he will probably earn at least double for the Vargas fight and Smith still hasn't fought anyone with a pulse

The rights fees from Sky are around £150k-200k.

On topic I doubt this happens unless Smith leaves Frank which would be a logical step if he can't get a big fight.

Could Hearn not have made a big lose on the show ? Bet he also got more than 50k tv money.

Firstly Brook vs Smith is not a big fight. Smith sold 1500 tickets in freaking Liverpool 😵. Brook will sell out Bramall Lane. Secondly, Eddies deal with Sky was renewed recently so he has more money to play with per event. Bottom line is Smith is a good fighter, but thanks to Fisheyes ineffective promotions , he's not a name.

smith v brook just isn't a big fight right now and it's not the fight kell needs. Can you imagine if he signed to fight ANOTHER domestic foe... as thurman said, he needs to beat some americans or guys on the world scene. Smith is going to be canelo and goldenboys latest whipping boy sadly

Whether kells been earning more or less than 600k, who cares. It's about right now and whether you think hes getting more or less than vargas theres no doubt that he'l be earning more than 600k. So that tells you right now the fight isn't worth making if you can earn more money fighting in a unification and a guy whos known on the world scene...

You can slag off kells resume but for a world champion liam smiths has to be one of the worst out there?
