    Khan has just recently said:

"Me and Floyd is a fight that could happen in Wembley Arena. It’s a fight people would want to see across the world. I’m a big fan of Mayweather, but sometimes you have to share the ring with one of your heroes. It would be massive."

And it got me thinking :think....how awesome it would be to have him fight here. Mayweather in the past has always spoken of his desire to fight in the UK, so what do you guys think? Would this be something that'll tickle his fancy and motivate him to try something he's never experienced before? For one thing, the money would definitely be good!

khan isn't a big enough fish. neither is bradley for that matter.

if floyd does decide to fight again soon, then he knows by now that there is no more foreplay or talk. there is only one fight for him

It would be incredible for Mayweather to fight in the UK. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he does, especially if Khan keeps winning. It would be a huge event here. Tyson did it, so why not Mayweather?

Its all about money. Khan is a big star in UK and can fill up the 15 thou arena. Floyd is a cash cow. They will both make a ton of money.

filling up an arena isn't the same as filling up a bank account...floyd-pac PPV is easily bigger

That isn't being argued here. The thread is about whether Mayweather could fight in the UK and Khan is a possible opponent. Plus, Khan is quite big here and Mayweather needs no introductions.

    Not talking about Floyd-Pac.

    Talking about Floyd-Khan.

These two combined could be a massive event here. Floyd is already well-known to the British public for his dismantling of their beloved Ricky Hatton, and I'm pretty sure they'll recognize his face if he decided to visit us. The Sky Hype-Machine would be in full effect, building him as this supreme ATG of modern boxing, that's giving Ricky's successor, Khan, a chance for revenge.

This is assuming the Pac fight has already been done (Floyd wins), or the Pac fight has become an impossibility. Khan in the UK would be the next best thing in terms of money.

the reason why vegas is such a popular fight venue though is because the casinos make a killing - they house a portion of bigger venues but they rake in loads of cash.

it might not be impossible to get a UK fight but i don't think it's gunna happen

That's my main concern. HBO will also want it taking place in the US. And even if they do allow London to host it, they'll demand it to be at 4am so they can air it prime-time on their side.

Too many obstacles. But nothing's impossible. Big stars from the US have fought in the UK before.
