if you ask me the same question 5 yrs ago. Mosley easily beat pbf is my answer. For 2010... Mosley is now the underdog! PBF too fast and mosley too old! Not much credit if PBF wins! Same story for pac! Beating mosley at this stage of career has very little credit. Though it's nice to have the name of Mosley in your resume.. Same reasoning for Joe Calzaghe. Yes, he won over Bhop and RJJ but there was not much credit given coz the win was made in the tail end of bhop's and rjj's career! Your thoughts?!
To be honest, i think even at this point, if Mayweather beats Mosley its a good win, it would have been a better win in '99 but Mosley is still solid competition.
I used to be of the opinion Floyd would outbox Mosley to a UD, based on seeing DLH outbox Mosley on the back foot and also Cotto outboxing Shane. But after Floyd's recent *****-footing around the toughest challenges at 147 I question how good he really is at that weight. Judah and Baldomir are dumb fighters by Elite standards, and they are the only Welters Mayweather's actually fought in his 4-5 years at 147. His other fights at 147 have been against natural jr welters and a natural featherweight. Only time he faced someone bigger than him worth a lick was a 35 year old semi-retired DLH who gave him all he could handle. Floyd didn't look too great, escaping with an SD. Mosley now at 147 is a tougher proposition than that old and rusty DLH was at 154, and he won't tire down the stretch, that's for sure. You have to think Mayweather knew what he was doing all along avoiding Mosley or any big and legit challenge at 147. I give Mosley a real shot now, particularly after his demolition job on Margo. Mosley is bigger than Floyd, stronger and is pretty fast himself. Not to mention he is a warrior who's only ever been hurt by that hellacious uppercut Forrest landed on him. And Mosley always looks good at 147 (for some reason not so much at 154). Floyd's going to be in for a tough fight, and it's about bloody time. Let's hope he can find one Saturday evening in his calender in March or May to toss those fishnets he borrowed from Oscar for a night, and finally steps up to plate.
so now this is an easy fight for Floyd too??? With all respect to Pacquiao, I think this will be a tougher challenge for Floyd than Pacquiao would be
i love people like you because you make me look like a genious, i posted on here about 9 months ago that mayweather cannot win in the public eye, if he beats mosley the *******s i mean idiots will say mosley was too old, if he beats cotto he is a ruined fighter, if he beats pac, pac was actually too small and now the excuse will be pac was pycholgically disturbed by the drug tests, mayweather cannot win with most fans period. the hate for mayweather will never end, even though he is manning up and fighting mosley, and he isnt running in some phony corrupt election to avoid mosley like pacquiao
once again bhop put on the second, maybe the best performance of his career beating pavlik 7 months after losing to calzaghe so the comments about discrediting calzaghes bhop victory are ignorant and shows pac fans know nothing about boxing an d are bad for the sport
Mosley's at that age where he has that same advantage B-hop has. If he wins he's awesome because he can win even if he's getting old. If he loses he gets a pass it's because he's old. The truth of the matter is it's almost impossible to tell if a Mayweather win would be because of Mayweather's skill or Mosley's age. Most likely it will be a combination of both and until we actually see the fight, it's all speculation that will be heavily influenced by our biases. In the end, it's a fight that should have been made years ago but still is a good fight that should be made. If Floyd wins it will be a good win but not a career defining one. It probably will end up as a win with an * at the end and only time will tell how important that * will prove to be.

I just hope that Mosley hasn't aged too much in the last year. Think it could be Floyd's toughest fight, but still not sure Mosley will penetrate his defence.
The hardest thing will be getting Fraud to find the courage to step in the ring with Shane Mosley, after that everyone will see why Fraud avoided him for all these years.
