31 year old ricky hatton has lived such a roller coaster lifestyle for so long it's now caught up to him. His doc told him to clean up or retire. this coming off of a trip to the hospital that showed tests of an irregular heartbeat. On the cusp of so many fighters dying of late. I hope hatton takes this as a sign.

i didn't know he had an irregular heartbeat, he should retire now anyway, he's had a good career and isn't going to improve on it.

This diagnosis from his doctor should/must convince him to retire and ease off the booze. He's got his own business to keep him busy and a family to go home to.

His party habits are going to get him murdered (as all the recent boxers who've passed were)? I'm not sure I see the connection here.

If he's having health troubles, that's a serious thing for certain, but it has nothing to do with the tragedies of the last month.

hey numbnutz? when did I say he was going to get murdered. And you must not keep up with the sport, and just get your news from other fanboys. ALL the other fighters who passed weren't murdered. But, go ahead and argue, and make your self look even more stupid. Moron!!!

I hope to see him back in the ring again. Be a shame to see him end his career with that devasting defeat.

Whatever guy. OK, I'll qualify the statement: the three more well known fighters who've passed recently were murdered (allegedly/potentially, in two cases). I don't know any details on Nazareth (I actually didn't even know who he was until I saw his name pop up on here last week...oh but I bet you did, right?).

You just seem to be grasping at straws here. The point of your original post is not very clear. Some fighters have been tragically killed - and this is supposed to be a "sign" to Ricky Hatton to modify lifestyle choices that are potentially hazardous to his health? Your point is unclear and a bit on the silly, callous, and inappropriate side. :hi:

Cmon dude. There's no need for that.

It's a difficult one. I think Ricky will get caught in that retired sportsman cycle where he is so used to training, and in his case partying, that he can't break it. As long as he enjoys himself I think changing his habits would probably make him more self destructive. It's obviously a release for him. Let him get on with it.

    This explains his recent loss.

A healthy Hatton would have stopped Pacquiao in 2.

Even at his best, Hatton isn't the one-punch-power kind of guy who will be dangerous to Khan at 140. If he can catch up with him enough to inflict some serious damage (which I doubt...the hands won't be unwilling to fly but the feet will be unable to follow suit) maybe he'd stand a chance of parking Khan on his rear and maintaining some dignity in what I see as a wide UD loss.
