what do you guys think of changing gyms?

the club i train at is one of the best in london, last year they have made 14 national champ, 3 boys fought for the england squad.

for some reason i have become abit bored, i feel like a change but i have known some of these trainers for quiet a long time and have a real connection with, i feel like having a fresh start at another gym and checkout other trainers training techniques etc.

    what do you guys thinks?

i think that change is always good... cuz your rite .. u can get a bit bored of the same routine/ppl... what u should do is just try another place and if u dont like it ... you can always go back

You're explaining that you're comfortable in your current gym, but you would like a breath of fresh air.. something new.. hmm.
It's all up to you, I think you should probably try another gym, meet new people... but again, if you're comfortable and its working for you, I see no reason to really go for another gym... seems to me that you're uncomfortable, but you're not saying it.

maybe the style of the gym is not right for you anymore you could have a word with your trainer and see if he could switch the style up, if he does not think its for the best then by all means see whats out there all you are going to be doing is gaining more experience, problem is what trainers out there are better if its the best gym in london, although you are at the stage where you are bored and not improving significantly, you could go backwards in another gym.

maybe it would be good 2 have a week off from the gym and just do some cardio and work in the house and you may feel refreshed when you return

Ah right fair enough.. where abouts is that in london? You ever trained at fitzroy lodge?
I am moving to london in september to go to uni. One of the main reasons is because theres a number of decent clubs in london, can you recommend any? Where would you move to?..

west ham is located in east london in the borough of newham,

fitzroy is very good from what i hear, you will have some tough sparring down there, and the head trainer is pretty well known around here in the boxing community, he is a tough son of a *****!!

also quiet close to west ham are repton and peacock, i'm sure i dont need to explain to you about these 2 clubs, 2 of the most famous clubs in london.

The main problem with that is Boxing is a jealous sport. Usually gyms are rivals and your gym mates and trainers are your team and if you jump to another gym both trainers and fighters might feel some resentment to you. If you have no choice by not gettin quality sparring or not getting decent fights then maybe its time to talk to your trainer. One thing we did was go to other clubs and get sparring in so the styles changed up. Good luck
