    Encouraging words from 5. I just keep dreaming of a broadcaster actually developing the sport’s profile. It doesn’t need to be expensive, but by committing to it they could make it really profitable for advertisers.

    I think a major problem ITV has was that although it god big viewers they struggled to get advertisers.

    Hennessey doesn't have the stable. It's one thing doing well with 2 british heavyweights but how many people are going to tune in to watch some unheard of bantamweights?

    If I was channel 5 I would focus on British HWs at first, and then show other domestic fights.

    They could focus on domestic level boxing.

    Big Brother will help get the numbers in.... Especially if reports are true of Charlie Sheen being in it... This will result in more people seeing Channel 5's adverts.

    They can't just give a promoter a guarenteed contract and not have a say in the matches. It's gonna be difficult maintaining a high standard. You're not gonna get a match-up between two young heavys, who are characters everytime out.
