another entertaining hour and ahalf on national tv imho.anyone got any news on the viewing figures?

just as an aside i wonder if they missed a trick by 'wasting' the last 15-20 minutes of the show with some fairly pointless analysis and chat.thought they could have introduced their audience to one of the young lads on the undercard, which i understand was pretty entertaining, and laso shown some good action for the punter at home

Viewing figures something like 1.5 million I think. Not great but that's what happens when you put it on the same time as Match of the Day. Should have put the fight on an hour earlier IMO.

Good numbers. There is literally no marketing. I don't see it on boxing sites, local papers, other channels etc I doubt they advertised it much on their own channel.

Would love to see them expand to 3 hour shows, but can Hennessy put on a good enough undercard to fill it? I doubt it.

It is annoying the worst promoter has the biggest available audience!

    Yep, It really is frustrating.

I wouldn't mind Hatton getting some dates with Channel 5, would get Quigg some good exposure.

They're are great figures for Channel 5.

Boxing is a difficult sport to follow, but if you stick a good fight on that's easily accessible, people will watch.

With better promotion & marketing you could double those figures

well who's fault is that?? if these 'better' promoters want their boxers to get that sort of exposure , then start talking to channel 5 !!(especially if sky are going to cut their boxing budget)

If Hatton could get channel 5 then you would see a whole different sort of boxing. We need a lot more exposure but we cant keep having the same old fights you need a bit of class on the bills

I wonder if Sky would allow 'their' promoters to air cards on channel 5 now the budget has been cut.

Could be a positive step in the right direction.

Means the Olympians would be on Channel 5. Imagine how big Joshua will be if he gets gold?

Great figures again for channel 5. People should be praising Hennessy for this, not criticising him.

I agree that Hennessy deserves some credit here. Apparently every promoter under the sun has been knocking on C5's door since they started showing Fury and Eubank Jnr.
