What for? Because it show an elite side to the sport. The side not corrupted by money..and driven by pride. I went to see some amateur fights tonight and they were better than any pro fights I have seen.

And they will show the amateur Olympic fights on TV dip****. A guy like yourself will never understand as you would rather take a guy's load in the mouth than a punch to the face.

P.S Collagen is for girls homo (nice lips ****)

jack. 20 years ago, or a bit more, there was a nsw amatuer boxing titles night where jeff fenech, jeff harding, troy, dean, guy waters, (and 1 other big name) fought all on the same night. which shows you that amatuers are the nursery of boxing.

on tv we could then be able to see the pacific titles, asian titles etc that our boys go to, plus nat titles and international 'friendly' tourneys.

remember nearly EVERY fighter comes through the amatuer ranks. if they were to get the exposure they need, more boxers would be identified by sponsors, fans and media, and thus encouraged to stay in the sport with a better chance of renumeration than which is the case at present.

tv for amatuers..? GREAT IDEA !!

Well they will show amateur boxing soon on tv, at the olympics.

That'll be a treat to watch!

The only way they'd put amateur boxing on tv is prob through fox sports. Given the amount of sports they cover, this is still unlikely. Even more unlikely is showing amateur boxing on free to air tv.

I despise the way amateur fights are scored, however I don't think they'll be appearing back on free to air anytime soon. That being said, I'd have thought the same thing about pro boxing too!
