Don't think it was dreadful. Smart move by mcnally. He didn't have long to work with cully and a repeat performance of tactics in his last fight would if got him kod by mould imo.
Mcnallys give himself some breathing space to work on cully, who could be far better imo,.Well.see how much mcnally gets into him in the next 6-12 months. Good gameplan from him imo. Got the job done, now he can go to work on cully.

If you knew boxing you'd have known Donovan is a really good prospect and levels above Ball.

And you'd have known that Mould is a tough good opponent, that was never gonna be a walkover for Cully.

 

Ha! I was expecting this as I logged in. It's what makes forums tick so fair play, you got it called correctly whilst I was wrong in my fight prediction.

My take however...

Chantelle never got her jab going or wasn't allowed to.

No gripes with the verdict.

My gripe however is that she has to fight KT a 3rd time - no gripe - again in Ireland - major gripe.

Fight in England. Defend like a Champ as Cameron did (twice).

 

Just to add, these 2 minute rounds make close fights difficult to score.

I know there have been a couple of 3 minute rounds recently but it surely now has to become standard in Female Boxing, yeah?

 

This is assuming a big venue in the UK wouldn’t be dominated by Irish just as easily. Taylor drew more at the Olympics than most male professionals do over here.

Cameron might moan at travelling again but she proved the first time she can handle it, and that’s where the money will be. Can’t see Saudi stepping in with a big offer somehow.

 

Would not be surprised if Ella Capo was made aware by Hearn pre fight of the huge money making opportunity at Croke Park should Taylor win the fight last night. If Taylor lost then clearly that fight was a non runner.

Mr Hearn has his scripts backed up by huge sums of cash.

 

If they fought a 3rd time things could be different for sure. I have no problems with the trilogy happening in Ireland. The sad thing is that no-one cares about Chantelle Cameron. She wouldn't be able to sell more than 1000 tickets on her own. The prices at the 3 Arena yesterday were extortionate yet they sold it out. If they did a fight in England, they wouldn't receive anywhere near the amount of money they got for the first 2 fights.

 

I'm not sure that's fair. Shields is truly unlikeable and plenty think that of Bridges and Courtenay too. But plenty people here hate on Fury, AJ, Whyte, Wilder and more over the things they say, so why is it any different? It's the rubbish boxing putting people off.

The strange thing is, female boxers should want to make a noise as there's just not enough of them; one day they won't be forced onto cards to make up the numbers, and they won't all have a "back story" or be an Olympian. About time more of them became unlikeable while the standard improves over time.

 

Shannon Courtenay fits the bill but she appears to be more interested in making larger sums on only fannies

 

I thought there was an automatic points deduction for an accidental headbutt. It was a bad one, used to rope to propel her head forward

 

Taylor won 96/94 for me fair play but would she have gotten away with the use of the head and holding if that fight was elsewhere? Also that looked like a legitimate knockdown to me in the 1st round that wasn't scored.The commentary was awful and blatant Taylor cheerleading felt like turning the volume off at times and a fight for the ages? It was Hardly Hagler Hearns or Ward Gatti was it come on.

 

I have seen the whole Matchroom event from last night and apart from the main event there was not much to be excited about. The heavyweight fight reminded me of White Collar Boxing. At one point I thought I had turned on a Misfits / Celebrity boxing event. A fight like that should never be on the main card.

 

Hopefully it didn't cost a lot of money to arrange the undercard last night. It was hardly worth watching.

 

Let's all pray and hope that Adam Smith becomes the new main boxing commentator on DAZN UK.

 

Assume given it was an Irish boxing event rather than BBBoC, certain commitments were made to please the home crowd. Needless really when the majority of the audience would be UK.
